Please read the negative reviews because they really aren't kidding. This place is a joke! I called security literally crying because I was lost and they REFUSED to help! This facility has some excellent staff, but honestly the BAD OUTWEIGHS the good here! Don't go there unless you truly do not care about yourself, family, or loved ones! I'm truly disgusted. What if I were being assaulted in the parking lot, they seriously wouldn't lift a finger to help (the security staff) Lakeland Regional....the correct response would have been that they'll be there in a jiffy on a golf cart! Also, when I called the ER (that's the number they gave me to call)and told them I was lost. I told the woman exactly where I was and explained where/what I was going in for. She was rude, indifferent and not helpful nor understanding. I was crying, lost, and almost missed my procedure because of the tardiness these two people. I swear I wish I knew who they were because I'd write a letter to the board and Director of Nursing ! Anyone who acts like this should not have the privilege of "working" with the public, or SNY human being for that matter

If you're an expecting parent, please read this before choosing this hospital.
My wife and I were admitted for her C-section delivery from October 7th to October 9th. In the beginning, the nurses were gentle, attentive, and very respectful and we genuinely appreciated that. Unfortunately, the experience took a disturbing turn once certain caretakers took over.
One caretaker in particular, Hailey, demonstrated negligence that should never occur in postpartum care. On the night of October 8th, she failed to review the previous nurse's notes she had her vitals checked 30mins ago,
Not to mention including blood work , she almost inserted a cold thermometer into my newborn, until I stopped her. She didn't believe me until she finally checked and realized I was correct. Blamed the previous caretaker for not letting her know.
We also requested to have our newborn bathed. Hailey refused, stating she "doesn't deal with that." When we asked if she could at least show us how, she gave zero effort and said word for word "just don't submerge her head under water" and walked out of the room.
When I addressed her nasty behavior privately, she denied everything and lied about her actions instead of taking accountability.
This is not simply poor bedside manner. This is unsafe care for mothers and newborns. It's extremely concerning that someone with this level of disregard is allowed to care for postpartum patients and new babies. I can't stop thinking about how many first-time mothers, especially those who don't feel comfortable speaking up, have had to deal with what my wife endured.
Someone needs to be held accountable. Until that happens, families deserve to be warned. I hope this review protects another new parent from experiencing the stress, disrespect, and carelessness that occurred during what should have been one of the most beautiful moments of our lives.
Sadly, the unprofessionalism didn't stop there.
When I went to retrieve the birth certificate, I discovered they had put my middle name as my last name. I immediately returned to the hospital to speak with the birth certificate administrative staff. They confirmed it was a mistake and openly admitted that the person who fills out the birth certificates is known for making mistakes. When I asked if the hospital could correct it. I was told that I only had one day after signing to catch errors.
Unbelievable, since we were still in the hospital for three days due to my wife's C-section. and now I would have to file an amendment, pay out of pocket, and wait 10 weeks because of their mistake.
This is completely unacceptable and extremely unprofessional.

My experience in this place was amazing. Endoscopy to check my heart. Surgery for my son was super fast after the first visit. Excellent specialist. Dr. Finks, orthopedist. The hospital for kids is like a 5-star hotel. Big room, gifts, attention, excellent nurses, and the kids' emergency room are great, too. Excellent service, everything, and everyone were great. I don't have any bad experiences.
