Initial consult with Dr. Mohib in Lake Wales today. One star is too many. Stay far away. I've never met a more rude, condescending, disrespectful provider. He entered the room and left the door hanging open which was disruptive with the talking outside. He quickly introduced himself then told me that he read reports and agreed with previous cardiologist without asking me any questions. He dismissed the Kardia monitor protocol as recommended by a previous Electrophysiologist without checking out any of the readings I was prepared to show him so he could visualize what my heart was doing during the times I was waking up with my heart thumping out of my chest with irregular readings. He dismissed the Kardia monitor as "garbage" even though I ordered the exact model recommended by an Electrophysiologist. Then he told me that the minute long Kardia monitor recording was "nothing" even though I had several that showed irregularities. He even scoffed and asked if I bought it from Amazon. He talked over me when I told him I have neck pain running down the carotid on the right side, told me I was overthinking, then insulted me for making notes going as far to say "oh, you're going to write that down, too?" I wrote only 7 words during the whole appointment. When I informed him that my heart rate is dipping into the 40's and 50's he interrupted me to say that everyone's heart rate is different. I tried to tell him that my primary and former cardiologist can't agree on medication to control BP and that I don't feel well on the current Rx and it was suggested by my primary that I get his opinion, but he interrupted that to say "What does that even mean that you don't feel well?" Of course he didn't wait for an answer to his own question. When I tried to tell him that my heart rate variability runs extremely low, that today it was only 13 and I'm never higher than 35, he interrupted me and said "what even is that? Everyone's heart rate varies". I later received his after visit summary which claimed that he advised me that "having increased heart rate variability is a good thing suggesting an increased vagal tone". That was obviously incorrect information because what I actually said was that my heart rate variability is extremely LOW on an ongoing basis but his notes reflect that he wasn't listening. It was my first visit with him and he briefly glanced at my legs and told me that there's no swelling in my lower extremities. However, both a resident doctor and an attending at the primary's office just yesterday advised me to make sure I informed the new cardiologist about the swelling. I tried asking about joint injections that an orthopedic provider hesitated to give me for knee pain. He let me know that the injections were fine even though he didn't even know what kind of injections or why the Orthopedic provider would be concerned about continuing the treatment. Additionally, when I told him that my BP meds have changed six times in 16 months and I have gained weight with each one, he then asked me about diet and exercise. When I tried to tell him that I typically walk 6,000-10,000 steps daily, he cut me off to tell me to walk an hour a day and cut carbs. He was clearly annoyed that I wanted to ask questions then did not answer a single question without interrupting or talking down to me. He then condescendingly informed me that I need to listen to a cardiologist with 30 years experience. The medical assistant was very kind during each of our interactions. I was so visibly upset when I left the office that the practice manager who was going in stopped and asked if she could walk with me and talk to me about what happened. The ONLY good thing about Dr. Mohib is his office staff.

The worst doctor I've ever seen in my life I went to see the doctor for the first time and he was very superficial in his conversation, giving it little importance. Did not check the most recent medical records. I had not finished talking when I was already wanting to go out the door. It leaves much to be desired . I never visit him again
