Dr. Ana Mercedes is a board-certified and fellowship-trained cardiologist with the Orlando Health Heart and Vascular Institute. She treats patients in the Oviedo, Longwood, and Winter Park area who have been diagnosed with illnesses related to the heart and blood vessels. Dr. Mercedes received her medical training from Instituto Tecnologico de Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic. She completed a residency in internal medicine at Danbury Hospital in Connecticut, which is affiliated with the Yale School of Medicine. Dr. Mercedes completed her fellowship in cardiovascular diseases at the University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine, where she was the chief fellow. She is fluent in English and Spanish.

Dr. Mercedes was absolutely incredible and so was her nurse as well as the staff. I was hospitalized recently for heart issues and I feel so confident that with her help we will figure out what's happening and I will get better. She was so thorough and took her time talking to me to actually get to KNOW me. I am so thankful for her!
The only Cardiologist that I'll actually recommend.. The level dedication to listening and hearing me, asking questions, truly spending the time to understand what I'm experiencing, long before any tests was what a really appreciated more than anything. Her and her staff, listened, worked together, and created a game plan for me. Once the expectations were set, we executed. I truly appreciate Dr. Mercedes and her team. True, caring professionals.
A nursing assistant checked me in & took vital signs & an EKG. Then after a long wait, the Physician Assistant for DR Mercedes came in & told me my EKG was good, she ordered a blood test & a heart calcium test & told me to come back in 6 months. I never saw Dr Mercedes. Since I had not had an appointment with a cardiologist for 1 year & 5 months, I expected to see Dr Mercedes.
Baker acted my mother after she answered "no" to being asked twice if she felt like harming herself or others. She was ambushed by officers as she returned from the bathroom. I will move heaven and earth to ensure dr. Mercedes is thoroughly reviewed.
This was my 2nd visit seeing Dr. Mercedes-Germosen and her staff. They were so nice and I received all the information I needed. The Dr. told me I needed to come back in 4 months. I was to have some tests done and we'd go over results. She also started me on a new med. I got frustrated and disappointed when I tried to schedule the appointment. The girl at the desk wanted me to come back in April. I was very unhappy with that and requested an appointment in February or March. She refused and I left without a return appointment.
