Dr. Ashok Mittal, MD Lung DR.

I have been a patient in the office of Dr Mittal for over 3 years. I was very happy with the original sleep study. After that, everything was downhill! I have had 4 appointments with Dr Mittal over the period. I have "never", "repeat never" seen the doctor. Once I saw the Nurse PR. Even then it was 1 hour late/waiting. The other times I waited in the office, up 2 two hours and evidentially left, never seeing the Doctor. He called me over the phone, on one occasion I left the appointment, this was after my sleep study appointment, and he prescribed the CPAC machine and the settings over the phone. Strange!! Again, I never saw the doctor...would not know him if I walked into him! Today was the last straw; my appointment was at 9:00am. I arrived at 8:45am. I was called to the counter at 9am, checked in and was reseated. After 10 minutes, the nurse called me in and got my vitals. After, she said the doctor is not in the office, go back to the waiting room and wait. (the waiting room had 8-9 people waiting) I told her that it's 9:25am, why is the doctor not here for the scheduled time? She did not know!! I explained to her that every time I come into the office, it is a 2 - 3 hour wait. This is unacceptable and unprofessional. Dr Mittal has no regard for people's time or work schedule. I would never recommend or suggest using this doctor, who I've never met. Patient Beware!!!

This is very unprofessional office. Never call you to confirm appointments and you have to wait in the waiting room about 2hrs to see a doctor. When we made small complain they took first someone who had appointment after us and made us wait even longer.

I think his support staff is fairly new and rather great. Because he is the rudest Doctor I've ever met. I don't know how anyone can work for him. He puts no money back into his office you can't tell where to park because there's two different stripes that at least 20 years old. And he never looks at you he doesn't talk to you. He doesn't even say goodbye. I'm not sure if it's a cultural thing just to women or if it's that is just his demeanor. If it wasn't for his support staff and the nurse practitioners I would not be going back. I make sure I never schedule an appointment with him

I wouldn't trust this DR with my pet duck. Spends 10 seconds on a hospital visit. Doesn't answer any questions, and is unsympathetic with his patients. Worst DR in pinellas county. My father got WORSE in his care. You would have to chase after the guy to get him to talk to you

The worse place to go you can't get anyone to pick up a call all you got is a voice mail and know one ever calls you back. They can never keep staff and never a manger on site. The wait is long because the Dr himself is never there. Don't waste your time tell you PCP to send you to someone else. They need to shut this place down because know one works in this office.
