Patient
If arrogance were a procedure, he'd bill you for it twice. I don't usually write reviews, but I felt a moral obligation to warn others. Dr. Juan Canabal has the bedside manner of a little boy and just learned a new word and decided that word is "ME." He struts into the room like he's auditioning for a medical reality show, doesn't say a word to anyone and then sighs dramatically when people don't magically know what he wants. Communicating with his team is apparently beneath him; he expects his mid-levels to read his mind like it's their psychic residency rotation. His priorities are... let's call them creative. He doesn't actually seem interested in his patients unless there's a procedure he can do, like a kid who got a new toy and is determined to press every button. The family asked for updates and he said, "They're doing great!" which was technically true if by "great" he meant "great for my experimental study." The man has a massive ego yet the emotional maturity of a juice-box-wielder. If you want compassionate care, look elsewhere. If you want to be a footnote in his next h&p about how he has 20 years of experience and how he knows best and everyone else sucks, then you've found your guy. Bottom line: I wouldn't trust him with a paper cut... mostly because he'd probably recommend an unnecessary procedure and then lie to your family about how it went.
