Dr. Majdi Ashchi, DO

Waiting an hour and a half to just be seen today. Previous visits were very low wait times before this. I thought It was great until I met a Dr.Kim (who usually isn't there but what a joy that I got to see him). Every other Dr is telling me it's SVT but he wasn't letting me talk or explain things. Even tried to tell me that sciatica pain is causing my heart rate to be 180+ for 40 minutes at a time. What a joke! Cancelled all future appointments and do not recommend.

I worked with Dr. Kim for nearly 8 months. Finally we chose surgery. Yesterday, Dr. Kim did my ablation. Less than 24 hours after my procedure I went to an Iceman Hockey Game. No pain. Dr. Kim was professional and kept me informed of everything he'd be doing prior to surgery. Highly recommend. I can't give enough stars. Very impressed and loved Dr. Kim.

I had thought "best doctor ever," and have recommended 3 people to them. But after approximately 14 weeks after heart surgery, I began feeling different, and after some test, I went in for results yesterday for appt at 8 am. I'm used to waiting for appointments, 1 hour, 2 hours in the past. But yesterday I simply asked how a 8 am appt when the office opens could still mean a hour wait! Dr was rude and said something like "I'm not playing this game today, you play my " game or .... " and lifted arm towards door. I left! I was crying by the time I got to my car. I felt they had saved my life by finding my heart problem and I was shocked that he spoke to me like that. I will never go there again! First, it isn't right to expect to have to wait 1-2 hours for a scheduled appts, secondly, to say something finally and then be berated isn't right. Now I understand what people mean when they say some heart doctors have a God complex! And I'll "play his game?" My heart and my life is not a game to me! I have rarely written reviews but I was first hurt but now really angry at this Dr. I love all the staff there and the testing people are great as well. But I just feel he should have called to apologize as I know anyone can have a bad day.

For having to go to a cardiologist, I would choose no other place than Ashchi Heart & Vascular. The office staff is a pleasure to deal with and the cath lab is excellent at what they do. My doctor, Dr. Azarbal, is the best. He is down to earth, reassuring and empathetic. He makes both my wife and I feel comfortable and confident in the procedures I have had done. I have been coming here for a few years, and feel better than I have in a long time. Thanks to all the staff for your courteous and professional treatment.
