Seems like a nice guy (talked for five minutes after a heart attack in the hospital) but if you don't mind being charged up front and then be billed for 20 to 30% more than Insurance pays,then this is your Doctor. His nurse practitioner is cool but why should I pay for a Doctor when I never see one? Then be sent a bill for the first time (after I already used my credit card to pay for services up front) showing 30-60 day delinquent. Really??? No wonder health care costs are so out of control. I found a much more qualified doc who accepts Med "B" and my part "N" ins. as full payment. Wish I found him first. Bye Dr. Abadier

I don't know if Shands just has better dopplers or he needs to stick to spider veins? Nice guy. Saw me after mild myocardial infarction. I also have lupus, so we did a doppler ( obviously an echo) don't get me wrong, I read echoes when I was in veterinary medicine (cvt), and I even said, oh boy that looks like it may be surgical...Dr Abadier said I had... As he worded it..a horrible, horrible heart disease PAH. . I saw him 3 times, each time pressure was higher. I thought he was actually writing this or had my echo or stress test results or current notes still available in my chart. He gave me no direction and my lung was filling with blood, or so I thought. Everything u read about the Dx said I was dying . when the pressure went from 50 at diagnosis and it being horrible as he said at 50, to 90 but nothing was changing. Just increased a medication I kept saying didnt work. I stated I kept feeling palpitations.And I finally asked for a pulmonary referral to Shands. He acted like it was something he wasn't allowed to do (every other specialist I have is allowed and supposed to refer me) and he printed one sheet of paper with the first Dx. I had to call Shands myself, my lupus plus heart disease luckily got me in..Shands called and was told (i did sign a release) there was nothing else in my records, maybe some other things that are some at the hospital. I never could obtain it and was retested, I had a specialist that only handled this exact heart disease I was diagnosed with praying I'd be a candidate for open heart surgery to extend my life past 2 years.. And it was a misdiagnosis. I had a complete change in medications and feel great. TV commercials and new ventures in spider veins... And i don't know why Shands couldn't obtain my records, and don't know why I had such a... "I'm so sorry to have to give you such a horrible, horrible diagnosis" never have I been so afraid. I can't imagine it helped my heart in any way aside from the nitroglycerin order. I've had to go back to citrus but I have begged them to call anyone but him, if he's the only one there, I'll take my chances and go elsewhere. maybe the equipment is that different, Shands does have some amazing equipment. I don't know, but a wrong Dx, can really make you believe you could be dying, and your family and everyone who loves you. I don't have a grudge I'm just a firm believer in if doc was wrong with me once and I'm still here, it's my own fault if I don't make a change. I hope all goes great for his other patients, I moved on and my heart never felt better!!
