Words cannot express how thankful we are to have been referred to Dr. Jason Horgan by Southeast Veterinary Neuorology.
Casper is 8 years old and tore his ACL ligament sprinting after a cat.
In terms of seriousness, think of when this happens to athletes: surgery is required and rehab time can be 2-3months.
We live in Miami but we wanted the best care possible or him.
Dr. Horgan and his staff put us at ease, were kind and compassionate and didn't treat us like a number, and the support staff is just as exceptional as the good Doctor.
Everything they told us about the pre-and post- surgery was on point, and they weren't shy about reeling me in off the ledge when I was consumed with fear that CaspyDoodleDandy might not walk again, or at the very least, be hobbled for the rest of his days.
The hardest part about the surgery for us was the lifting of a 40lb shiba inu to take him out and bring him back in, and seeing him try so stoically to walk.
As of today he is almost completely recovered. As the doctor suggested we are going to continue to leash walking and home physical therapy: lifting his leg up and down, intoning 'Up. Dowwwwwwn. Up. Dowwwwwwwn' and regular massage of the muscles in the affected joint.
If you want the best care for your pet money can buy, don't look anywhere else.
LeadER Animal Specialty Hospital is without peer.
Thank you LeadER!

Best vet/ hospital I have taken my dog here for heart surgery and cats and dogs i rescue/ foster for anything serious. They are amazing and always give you options for if you wanted to go the extra mile on more tests and they give you there best recommendations on what to do in your case. I have definitely spent a lot on surgery's but have also saved a lot on cases where extra tests aren't needed and advise me this instead of just doing procedures and taking my money like other vets. I highly recommend this place and amazing staff. Thank you for always saving all the pets I have brought in

This animal ER is absolutely amazing. I've been here for emergencies at least 4-5 times in the past 7 years with 2 of my pets and have had nothing but amazing experiences each time. The staff is always kind, attentive, and loving towards your pets and never hesitate to answer any and all questions you may have. They never pressure you into paying for services and always lay out detailed prices beforehand and giving you time to decide. Yes, the waits may be long sometimes but that's because it's an emergency room just like a human one and the more critical cases always take priority. The amazing vet here coordinated care with my cat's neurologist to make sure she's getting the best care. They kept my cat overnight and sent me updates and pictures without me even asking. I will always use Lead ER in the future for those scary moments especially because of their amazing compassion and care. Thank you for loving and taking care of my pets as if they were your own!

My 9 year old Pug had major surgery exactly 90 days ago at LeadER with Dr. Horgan and his phenomenal team. This was the most terrifying decision and experience that I've had to this day due to chronic, treatment resistant middle ear infection. After two MRI's, two spinal taps, a CT scan and various consultations with neurologists, dermatologists and veterinarians, it was highly recommended to remove his entire ear canal on the right side to prevent further infection and dire complications in the future. I interviewed a couple of small tissue surgeons in the area and Dr. Horgan was undoubtedly the correct fit for us. I knew the moment he interacted with my Pug from his unmatched bedside manner and wealth of knowledge/expertise, that he was THE doctor I wanted to operate on my baby. Leading up to the surgery, he offered various consults to explain and assess all possibilities and outcomes to make sure I understood the pros and cons of every scenario. I never, ever felt rushed off the phone or exam room during in person visits. I was also assigned my very own inpatient concierge, Renee, that kept me informed every step of the way with updates and pictures of my boy. She was absolutely wonderful and made me feel very emotionally supported. Dr. Horgan continued to hold space for us post surgery as my boy's incision healed with continued communication and quick access on "speed dial" as we navigated his health concerns with medications. I wish we could stay under Dr. Horgan's eternal care, but since he's a surgeon, it's not possible unless another one is needed in the future. If I could give 10 stars to this team, I absolutely would!! I've never experienced this level of professionalism and stellar bedside manner like I did during this experience. It is obvious and transparent that they truly adore animals and love what they do. Thank you for taking care of my boy and giving us peace of mind that no amount of money can buy!

Well, if there were more stars, I'd definitely give them to LeadER. They truly offer the best of the best in every aspect. From exceptional customer service to the dedicated nurses & staff, even the cleaning crew is great! The hospital is equipped with the latest tec for every need including dialisis!
Now, let's talk about the doctos. I can't fully describe how incredible and quality Doctors they have in their staff. I've had the privilege of having 3 of these doctors treat 4 of my babies. Miley and Henry had Dr. Nick as their cardiologist for years until they passed away due to CHF. Nowadays, Hankie is also under Dr. Nick's care for CHF also.
Chloe was treated by Dr. Horgann, an orthopedic surgeon who skillfully repaired a second break on her right fibula. Recently, just 4 nights ago, Hankie was admitted to LeadER emergency room due to a hernia & bladder emergency . He was treated by Dr. Brian, an internist surgeon DVM, who successfully repaired a perforated hernia and attached his bladder.
He's now with me @ home, getting loads of love & kissesto help him recover from such painful ordeal.
Every treatment or surgical intervention has been a resounding success, and the post-operative services are amazing as well. The nursing staff & techs are incredibly caring & compassionate. I've witnessed firsthand how every dog is treated with kindness, receiving the proper care each needs. They handle each dog as if it were their own pet, striving to provide the best care possible with a touch of love to make them feel better & allow them to return home to their families fast.
Unfortunately, my Miley and Henry's CHF disease took them from me too soon, despite the best treatments they received.
I am incredibly grateful that LeadER has experienced & knowledgeable physicians who specialize in various areas of veterinary medicine. I know that when I take my babies to LeadER, they will be in good hands, receiving the best care money can buy.
Thank YU, Team LeadER, for everything you do for MY PETS.
