Dr Juan Plate, is an awesome surgeon. He and his team are the best for your open heart surgery. My husband had to 4 bypass grafts. He took time to explain everything without rushing and making sure we understood ,allowed us to ask questions. His team also would explain everything before and made sure I was in the loop too. Thank you for helping to give my husband a more quality of life.

Dr. Plate and his entire staff ( special shout outs to Susan, Shannon and Gaston) are amazing and did great work on my aortic valve replacement. He takes the time to talk to you before your procedure to help alleviate fears and answer all questions. His follow up in the hospital was thorough and motivating. If you need something done, you can trust that Dr.Plate and his whole team care and will help you.

Dr. Plate performed a quadruple bypass surgery on me. I can only judge his work by feeling well which I do, I give him 5 stars for that, but If I can judge the work of a surgeon by my recovery time, I give him 5 stars again, because is the use of technology, technique and knowledge that allowed me a prompt recovery. By his presence in daily rounds, 5 stars. By being humble and down to earth, 5 stars. By having top notch, excellent assistants, nurses, etc. by his side, 6 stars.

Dr.Plate saved my husbands life. He had a collapsed mitral valve and got extremely sick from being misdiagnosed at another hospital for a few days. He was finally transferred to Dr.Plate and his team and never in my life have I experienced the care that my husband received from at Memorial with Dr Plate. He got him well enough for open heart surgery and replaced his valve. He was in the hospital for almost a month and there is not one negative thing I could say. They saved his life and I will be forever grateful.

Dr Plate operated on my brother doing a bypass of his clogged arteries. He called me after surgery to let me know things went well. It was very unexpected to hear from the actual surgeon directly. It's a very nice touch.
