I had the privilege of being treated by Dr. Vanitha Vasudevan, an oncologist surgeon at Palmetto General Hospital, for a breast cancer surgery. The entire experience was outstanding, and I am extremely satisfied with the results. Dr. Vasudevan's professionalism, expertise, and compassionate care were evident throughout the entire process. She made me feel confident and at ease every step of the way. I would wholeheartedly recommend her to any patient needing similar care. I am truly grateful for her skill and support, and I could not have asked for better treatment.

5 Stars - A True Angel on Earth Dr. Vanitha Vasudevan and her entire team, including Gabby and Iris, are absolute superheroes. From the moment my mother was first admitted to the hospital on April 1st, Gabby (one of Dr. Vasudevan's amazing NPs) was the first to see her and stayed involved throughout this incredibly complicated six-week journey. My mother was initially hospitalized from April 1 to April 12. During that time, Dr. Vasudevan and her team took a conservative approach to her care, balancing necessary medical intervention with my mother's age and extensive medical history--including dementia and mental illness. They gave her time, space, and thoughtful attention, trying to avoid surgery if possible. Unfortunately, she had to return to the hospital on April 28 and remained there until May 13. During her second stay, surgery became unavoidable, and Dr. Vasudevan performed a complex procedure that included placing a colostomy bag and addressing additional complications. Despite how overwhelming it all was, Dr. Vasudevan was a steady, comforting presence. She was kind, patient, and incredibly thorough. She explained everything clearly, answered all of our questions, and truly made us feel heard and supported. She even comforted us while we cried. She was an angel on Earth when we needed one most. Even though the Palmetto General Hospital has a less-than-stellar reputation, Dr. Vasudevan and her team were the bright light that cut through all of that. She even helped us advocate for my mom's care when we told her what was going on. (My mom needed extra care due to her ongoing psych issues.) The best part? In a few months, Dr. Vasudevan is hopeful she'll be able to reverse my mom's colostomy--an outcome we hadn't even dared to dream of. That news alone gave us so much hope. I truly cannot say enough good things about Dr. Vasudevan, Gabby, and Iris. They cared for my mom like she was their own family. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts, Alexis, Stephanie & Katie.

Dr. Vasudevan is great doctor, very professional and understanding. The ibly problem is last two appointments I have not been able to see her. The day before I specifically asked if she was going to be in the office to see me abs the receptionist said yes, she was. When I got to her office she was not there and an assistant actually took over the appointment. When I asked the assistant about my blood test I received no answer and was referred to a endocrinologist. Why should I go if the doctor would not be there? I am sure something is not well when was I asked to return in six months.

Dr Vasudavan recently performed a hernia repair for me. She found that I had three abdominal hernias from a botched previous abdominal surgery. My entire abdomen looked like I had gained a huge amount of weight and bulged so much it was hard to wear slacks and keep them up even with a belt. I had a repair done once before that actually made it worse. My stomach is now completely flat like it was years ago before the botched surgeries. She even re-created my belly button and used surgical glue which looks like there will be only a very small as she lined up the skin perfectly . I was not hopeful due to the two previous botched surgeries. I am extremely pleased and the post op pain is minimal and the pain medication eliminated the post op pain. I can't say enough about how happy I am with her work, her respectful treatment and genuine caring personality. She personally checked on me every day while I was in the hospital! I would highly recommend Dr Vasudavan. She's a 12 out of 10!
