Marquand Patton JR., DO

Dr. Patton is a great cardiologist. He is knowledgeable, has great bedside manners, and is very professional. I love the fact that he takes time so explain things and always asks me if I have any questions. The office staff is very polite and friendly. The waiting area and rooms are always clean.

If I could leave 0 stars I would. This office is virtually unreachable. Go ahead give them a call. They don't have an email address they respond to, They don't answer faxes. I started as a new patient and needed a CT scan. That's when the problems started. I needed to go in person to talk with anyone. If you have any small/large issues that need to be resolved or require clarification you are stuck with their method of communication which is non existent. Appointment changes, Insurance authorizations, cancellations forget it! You cannot contact them for a reason. They don't want new patients. You are not only just a number, you are a number that they don't want because they are so busy the one timers the hospital traffic provides. This is not the cardiologist you want to go to. Dr. Patton you should be ashamed of yourself for doing absolutely nothing to communicate with me personally or through your staff during this whole process. What a horrendous experience and appalling treatment I received by you. Absolutely uncouth and unprofessional.

Dr. Patton is a great doctor. My mother needed another aortic valve replacement. She had a transcatheter aortic valve replacement TAVR. Which is not open heart more similar to a catheterization. Recovery was so much faster. She's never been to Palmetto Hospital. My first impression, I didn't like the hospital at all. Staff is rude and seem not to know what's going on. But Dr. Patton and staff made up for it. His ARNP and coordinator are awesome.Always available and answered any questions we had. After procedure she was in the ICU for 5 days, where she recovered. Also, the valet driver Orlando is one of the nicest person. He found for us it was there or the building that we needed to be. We always happen to have him to park the car. Hands down, I will most definitely recommend Dr. Patton and staff.

Excellent the service, He is very trustworthy, He explained everything. He inserted a valve to my heart husband. As well his team, Jackie and ISis , very nice , courteous. Very good, God bless them !

I was referred to Dr Patton by my wonderful cardiologist up in Broward, Dr. Tiffany Sizemore DiPietro. He reviewed all of my files, met with me, and explained clearly what he would be accomplishing with an angiogram and TEE, and what the likely next steps would be. I was surprised to learn, post cath lab, that he had had to implant two larger stents in order to widen an artery. (Surprised and delighted that he did the work right then, and did not require my returning to the hospital!.) He explained what he was doing, during the procedure, and it was very comforting to be informed any time I had a question, He visited with me, pre-op, several times, and informed my husband of the goings on immediately after the procedure was complete. The entire staff in the cath lab, pre and post procedure, were kind, highly professional, and very reassuring. I was unfamiliar with Palmetto Hospital, but everyone, from Dr. Patton's scheduler Elizabeth, to the admitting clerk Maria, to the nurse who drew my blood the day before, to the nurse who did my covid test, to the GP who cleared me for surgery, was kind, professional, pleasant, and comforting. Liz, in pre-op, could not have been kinder and more comforting, and Antonio in post-op was amazingly thorough and delightful! Dr. Patton is extremely brilliant in his specialty, he has lots of common sense, years of hands-on experience, and his manner is that of what an old country doctor might have been (although he is young!)-- aware of his patient as a person, intuitive about what my questions might be, albeit I could not think of some of them on the spot, and very clear in his choice of words about what I could expect every step of the way. He gave me an appointment ten days out so that I could meet the other physicians with whom he works on his team and discuss the next step. I could not be happier about the overall experience and look forward to meeting with him and the team in a week.
