Dr. Hernando Torres-Ortiz is a board-certified non-invasive cardiologist at Mount Sinai Medical Center. Dr. Torres-Ortiz earned his medical degree from Universidad de Cuenca Facultad de Ciencias Medicas in Cuenca, Ecuador, graduating with honors as Valedictorian of his class and receiving the highest academic recognition, known as the Benigno Malo Award. He completed his internal medicine residency training at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach, FL, where he served as Chief Internal Medicine Resident. Following his residency, he completed his cardiovascular disease fellowship training at the Columbia University Division of Cardiology at Mount Sinai Medical Center.

Dr Ortiz is an excellent cardiology. He is on top of his patients messages any tests results and lab work. He is very concerned about his patients health and dedicates time with his patients. He answers the messages and returns the messages or calls his patients.
Dr. Torrez-Ortiz is the best. Excellent manners, very thorough, eplains everything in detail. Best of all he does not rush you. He truly takes the time to inform his patients.
