Shands Cardiology should be ashamed. Nov. 14 my 82 yr old mother had a standard ECG done. Before she was even home, she received a call from her Cardio main doctor saying they needed to discuss the results of the tests and he would call back. Nov. 17th, my mom sent him a message stating she has not heard back. Nov 27th my mom sent another message stating no one has called her regarding the tests results. She told me about this on Dec. 2nd, I researched the medical report that was sent to us and according to what I found, Torrential regurgitation of the tricuspid means surgery. We shared the tests with family, who are doctors and they said based on what the test report said surgery was needed. I called on Dec. 2nd was told someone would get back with us in 24-48 hours. I called on Dec. 5th, as no one had reached out, and was had an appointment set for Dec. 8th. Dec 8th was told by the nurse practitioner that based on what she was reading surgery was not needed but she would get in touch with the doctor that read the report and my mom's main doctor and have an answer to us by Friday 12th. On Friday 12th we received a "notes" from the appointment that occurred on Dec 8th with no mention of test results or conferring with doctors. The NP specifically said she would call back. Dec. 15th I called and asked to be put in touch with the highest person in the Springhill location office, was told an email was being sent to management with and elevated status and I would hear from someone within two hours. That was at 8 am this morning, it is now 1:45 pm and no one has responded to my request for a simple reading of test results that appear to require surgery, were important enough for the doctor to call the same day the test was done. Do better Shands!! Next step, I am not sure. I left a message at patience experience, supposedly that is the next step on the ladder but I don't have any faith in them at this point. Going to seek out a second opinion from Cardio Vascular Institute. Maybe they care about their patients.

After speaking with them on the phone, I was told to stay by the phone as they might recommend I go to the er. They didn't call back until I wrote to the doctor to ask for the formal complaint process. Then 24 hours later they called to tell me to go to the er. Also they have a four month wait for an appointment. It seems pretty clear they don't have the necessary staff to meet their patient obligations.

I honestly wish I could give zero stars. This practice is one of the worst I have ever been to. I've been left stranded without a refill on a very crucial medication twice now. The doctors are very dismissive, and will not look into root causes of your health issues. Run!!!

I am in shock and truly saddened by the treatment I received from Dr.Arraut-Hernandez From the moment I walked in, I was met with nothing but rudeness, condescension, and outright disrespect. As a patient dealing with serious health concerns, I expected a level of care, compassion, and professionalism. Yet I was instead subjected to dismissive attitudes, constant interruptions, and sarcastic remarks that made me feel small and unheard. Dr. Hernandez repeatedly undermined my concerns, brushed off my symptoms, and seemed more interested in belittling me than actually helping me. Any time I tried to explain what I was experiencing, I was cut off mid-sentence as if my input didn't matter. The lack of empathy was staggering, and I left feeling worse than when I arrived, not just physically, but emotionally, too. I genuinely don't understand how someone in the medical field, especially in cardiology, could treat an individual who feels unwell with such disregard. No one should ever feel this uncomfortable or dismissed when seeking medical care. I would never recommend Dr. Hernandez to anyone who values being treated with basic respect and human decency. I can assure you I met her with respect and kindness immediately and had no issues with anyone else there. The nurses are outstanding people. I am well mannered and always treat others with respect, by no means did I deserve this.

★★★

I am having chest pain and have a pacemaker. I was in HCA ER and they wanted to keep me. I was told to make an appointment Monday and NO ONE LISTENS. I don't know what horrible LADY I got this morning but, she was UPSET with ME? DO Better!!!! This was a 4 star review. NOT ANYMORE! ADDED TWO STARS for Nurse Janet. Thank you for listening! I love the Dr. 5 star's for the Dr and staff. The PARKING is ATROCIOUS. Needs to be something done about the freaking parking. I was LATE for an appointment because of the PARKING. Really? Gainesville is known for nothing but their freaking students. Do something about your parking for normal human beings.
