My name is Dr Dhaval Naik and I am an assistant professor of cardiovascular medicine at UF Health. I am board-certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular medicine, and also received board certification in lipid disorders to become a diplomate of the American Board of Clinical Lipidology. My areas of clinical and research interest are the prevention of heart disease and managing hyperlipidemia. Also known as high cholesterol, hyperlipidemia is a condition where too many lipids, or fats, are in the blood. Left untreated, hyperlipidemia can create fatty plaque buildup in arteries that can lead to heart attack, stroke, carotid artery disease, and peripheral artery disease.

If I could give him zero stars, I would in a heartbeat! (No pun intended.) Came to him very symptomatic with multiple, gold standard tests showing abnormal results, and he said it wasnt his job to interpret the reports done by radiology and another cardiologist at the same hospital. He hadnt read my chart before seeing me, and the kicker is, as a cardiologist, he didnt even listen to my heart with a stethoscope! I asked for some simple, in-office testing to be done, and he bluntly refused saying it wasnt necessary because it had been done two months ago, when 4 months ago, my heart was totally fine. He has zero ownership of his craft telling me everyone else did a poor job at their responsibilities, all the way down to the women who scheduled my appointment. He is a complete waste of time, UF Heath is amazing, but this particular DO should be avoided if you actually want answers.
