I have been seeing Dr. Journigan for several years and all visits have been excellent; I highly recommend her for your Cardiology issues.
This Doctor is very polite, but in reality if you're looking for cardiac care, do not see her. She needs patients off her remit, and can not properly care for them. Her staff are gatekeepers who are tasks with asking you repeated questions about your health to find overlap with other conditions and pass the buck to other specialist, telling you may you should see that specialist etc, when every doctor I see, and ER visit I take due to my heart issues I'm sent to see my cardiologist. Nice is what I look for from hospitality staff, when it comes to my medical staff I want someone who's going to give me time, and work to get to the bottom of things, not do the same test repeatedly, and keep me on my same prescription and tell me see you next year when I'm clearly feeling worst by the day.
Dr. Journigan is fine. Getting an appointment with her office (which she has no control over), is the WORST! You cannot tell me to make a yearly appointment to be seen, and then never make me an appointment! Annual is every January. Office staff said start calling in July to make the January appt. I did this for 7 months! I called regularly just to make my annual January appt. Office workers response was,... " Oh we haven't opened our books for appts. in January yet." You cannot tell me this is how you run a profitable practice! Even in November and December - same response. This is absolutely not the way for already established patients to be treated! After I sent an email to Antonucci and all Board Members, got a call within 2 days and they set my appointment - RIDICULOUS!!! My husband - got the same treatment! Lee Health has a monopoly on this area - no competition and the doctor whose name is on the door has absolutely no control on when or how appointments are made.
Her knowledge is impressive, as is all the staff.
