Holy Cross Urgent Care - Rio Vista

Got there this morning around 9 after having just had a not so pleasant experience at a different urgent care down the street (basically said she had to charge me $200 bc blue cross was "down" even though my app states it's $60) anywayyyy I went here and there was a bit of a wait but the receptionist was kind and working alone on a Sunday so she was as quick as she could be! Both the nurse and doctor I saw were amazing and so thorough. I genuinely felt as though they cared and it did not have an urgent care vibe, more like a PCP. The waiting room is also huge, clean, and comfy! And unlike the first place the receptionist only had to collect my $60 copay and didn't say anything about blue cross being down. Will definitely return :)

I cannot say enough nice things about my experiences at Holy Cross Urgent Care. They are always very caring and professional but most of all my Beau is always welcome which is very important to me

My overall experience at Holy Cross was amazing. All of the nurses and PCT's were incredible. The actual doctors were also great. The only one I had a problem with was the attending physician. He didn't seem to be in sync with what the doctors were saying and towards the end of my first stay he didn't listen to me in regards to new symptoms I was having and only seemed interested in pushing me out before the weekend. Which ultimately landed me back in the hospital less than 24 hours later...for another 3 days! The second attending physician I had also didn't seem to be in sync with what the GI doctors were telling me and again just seemed more interested in rushing everything to get me out. I understand attending physicians probably have dozens of patients every day but there has to be more communication between them and the doctors to minimize confusion and to benefit the actual patients.

Staff was very nice. PA Rafael (believe last name is Sanchez) is pretty horrible! Went there as I've been coughing for few days, I know my body and I could tell something wasn't right. As I didn't have any fever and he couldn't listen anything from my lungs he just said I had nothing. I've tried to explain for few times I wasn't feeling alright and tried to discuss more about it, but he treated me as I had nothing.. made me feel I was being to dramatic about it... at the end I asked him about any vitamins or something to help as I was feeling my body getting worse... he looks like very against vitamins and also wrote in a POST IT "Claritin, Zyrtec, Flonase". Asked him which dosage and which specific ones as the pharmacy has few options of these medications.. he answered, NO! There is only one type of dosage of these.... Great answer, because it made me have sure I couldn't trust him about anything. Went to another urgent care and guess what!? They tested me right away and I'm POSITIVE for Strep Throat!!! Tks God I heard myself and went to look for help with better professionals. Already taking ANTIBIOTICS... Tks for the other person who wrote a review saying something similar about the treatment his wife received from the same PA.

I received excellent care from the moment I walked through the door. PA Abreu and his colleagues demonstrated genuine concern for my well-being and made it their priority to help me feel better. They prescribed the appropriate medication and provided aftercare advice for my strep throat, and by day 3, I am already feeling much better. Thank you!
