Has over looked 2 serious heart conditions with a family member. One was new onset atrial fibrillation, the other was slow heart block. Both times he told his wife not to worry about it. We insisted she call back and tell him about the suspected heart block and the patient had poor kidney function. It was only then he told him to stop his medication. Two days later when he saw the patient, the medicine had cleared and the HR came up. He told the wife he new he was fine. Very poor care. Obviously he has lost interest in his work.

I was called very late in the day for the confirmation of my stress test. In fact, I called them at 2 o'clock in the afternoon the day before and asked why didn't I get a call yet? I had no clue of what this stress test involved. And I did not know if I needed to have someone with me to take me home. The person that answered the phone made light of it and made an excuse for the person that makes the calls. She said she's busy making other calls. She also made a joke and said you're stressed about taking a stress test. She gave me most of the information by asking the person sitting next to her. Then I got a confirmation call at 4 o'clock in the afternoon. That is ridiculous. I believe there is no communication between the people upstairs and the people that perform the test and that enough information is not given to the patient. Perhaps someone should speak with the people Administering I the test and get the information that should be given to the patient.

Dr. Weiner is great! He is very calm, takes his time with you, answers questions and is informative. His staff is also fantastic. Jennifer in the insurance department helped me through some very frustrating insurance confusion. She took the time to research my plan, help me figure out information on my online profile, and worked with me to understand my insurance options. So grateful for her and how much time she took to help me!

Dr. Weiner is an exceptional cardiologist. I expressed to him that I was having some discomfort in my chest and he suggested a stress test which I did and it came back fine. Upon my recheck I told him that I was still having the discomfort. He recommended I take it a step further, and have an angiogram done. I've had them before and I really did not want to do it, but I trust Dr. Weiner as he has always steered me in the right direction and always had my best interest at heart. The angiogram showed that I needed some more stents. Even though he was not performing the procedure, he came and saw me and made sure that I was doing OK. He is such a compassionate doctor and person, and I trust him. He he has been my cardiologist for over 10 years. I am a 64 year old woman with systemic lupus.

Although Dr Weiner may deliver good medical care I am my parents healthcare proxy and he never gets back to me when I call. My mother is in ICU in Florida and I am stuck in NY and he has not returned my calls to report on her status!!!! I am still waiting for him to call me back from 2 months ago re: my father.
