Broward Health North

I recently had to take my mother to Broward Health North after suffering a stroke. I was amazed at how attentive, professional and caring the staff was, from the front desk to the bedside care! The SICU was well staffed and cordial. Mom was later moved to their rehab unit and the doctors and staff followed up with her to see how she was doing and address concerns. The security personal made visiting easy ... with student interns helping me to find my way around the first few visits. I was truly impressed with the hospital and staff throughout. Oh, and even parking was pretty easy and convenient most times.

Originally came in on October 27 and have had the best experience so far. Had a bit of difficulty with the first room I was assigned with and my nurse Samara worked to get me into a new room in less than 15 minutes despite the floor being full. All my nurses have been friendly. Sarah M was so kind and always quick to respond despite my many calls. The hospital staff and patient care coordinators always come in to check up on you, especially Steve Martin. He is very kind and cheerful and always makes sure you're getting the best care. The portion sizes are large and the specials for dining are great. I even got a large plate of fresh fruit today. Test results tend to come out fast. Overall, a great experience.

I would like to commend Beverly at the scheduling department for the Women's Center in Coral Springs! She was so very knowledgeable, understanding, courteous, patient, kind, and compassionate as she helped me to schedule an appointment. She helped me this past week to secure an appointment amidst the hustle and bustle of busyness all around for most people. She also followed through with what she said she would do and I am eternally grateful for her help! May God continue to bless her!

My name is Travis Durham and I was here from Oct 15 to Nov 3. From the moment I arrived I was treated with exceptional care from all departments with the exception of the PICC team. All my nurses on the 5th and 8th floor were fantastic tending to my every need making sure that I was pain free and comfortable. Steve Martin and the rest of the kitchen staff were amazing as well. I would definitely recommend this hospital for care to anyone in the area. As I said my only problem was with the PICC TEAM. My Dr put in an order for me to get a midline because I am a hard stick. The PICC nurse came and took it upon herself to tell me that I didn't need it and gave me a regular IV which went bad the next day. They had to come every other day to put a new line in me instead of just giving me the midline as the Dr had ordered. I was in agony with all the needle sticks you don't understand. With that part of my stay I would give no stars. Totally not good at all!!! Thank you!! Travis Durham
