AdventHealth Medical Group Family Medicine at Daytona Beach

Doctor was over an hour late to my new patient appointment. Then I learned as I was checking out that the doctor is leaving the company next month anyways. They forgot to take my copay when I checked in, so they yelled at me halfway down the hall as I was leaving to come back. Staff were friendly but there seems to be terrible communication and organizational skills here. Took two hours there for what was a 15 minute appointment.

Too many mistakes that wasted our time. Referral was made to a lab that doesn't even take our insurance and my wife's follow up appointment to review the lab results was made for four weeks later only to be canceled the day before. Reason......the provider always takes Fridays off. How did they not know that when the appointment was made? It wouldn't be quite as bad if you we didn't have to wait another 4 weeks for a new appointment! Very disappointed in this practice.

The receptionist I spoke with today Melissa (Daytona Fl office #) went way out of her way to help me. I called very clueless and confused and just said that I needed to see a dr but I didn't know who or what drs took my hmo. She took time out of her day to search all local advent family practices for a dr that took my insurance and had an opening for a new patient. I had not had any luck on my own and would of had to wait 5 months to see the dr closest to my home. I am very grateful for her help and the kindness she showed to meand how fast she was able to get me an appointment. She Even took the time to give me directions to the office. Ty again for making me feel so comfortable and welcome it made my day so much easier.

I will give a review when I leave nurses have been A 1 you have to be proactive remember they work for you. You have to take initiative in your care being mindful of others...God Bless All in my case here at Advent Health Daytona Maria good job
