Today I had the pleasure to meet two amazing young ladies Jennifer and Maria (front staff). From the time I walked into the office, they greeted me with a smile and professionalism. When you're dealing with issues of the heart, they exemplify exactly what you need a smile and patience. I would like to tell these ladies thank you!! In these jobs (healthcare) you don't always get the thanks you deserve or even the credit. Thank you again for making my visit a wonderful experience!!

My MacDill PCP referred me to a cardiologist. So I went. I didn't know what to expect. I didn't see a Doctor at first, but I was led into an exam room, instructed to lay down. Two nurses showed up. They neither introduced themselves, nor told me what to expect, nor what they were going to do, nor look me in the eyes. They attached electrodes to my shoulder/chest area, but couldn't get a reading. Before I knew it, they were pulling up my blouse and bra, attaching more electrodes. They didn't talk to me to explain. I felt like a guinea pig, being man-handled. They didn't acknowledge me as a person, a patient. Just a cow. When they still couldn't get a reading, they went and got a 3rd nurse. Who left the door open, while I was half-naked on the exam bed. All 3 were African American, but I was married to an African American, so that was a non-issue. Eventually the Dr. Singh came, didn't look me in the eye either, asked a few questions, but generally seemed dismissive, disinterested and condescending. I'll finish the 4 Tricare approved visits, i.e. stress rest, monitor, echo, and then ask for a different provider.
