Pediatrix Cardiology Associates opened its doors in 1977 as the first pediatric cardiology program on the west coast of Florida. Since then, we have recruited nationally and internationally respected specialists in all areas of pediatric cardiology, including arrhythmia, fetal, therapeutic interventions and transplant cardiology. We also helped to establish the Tampa Bay Congenital Heart Center to treat the growing population of adults with congenital heart conditions.

My Child has been coming here since he was born with Tetralogy .After 2 major and 1 minor procedures prior to him being 7 years old I'm happy to say he is doing amazing and is currently 15 ! Thank you for always doing a great job ! Dr. John is the best and is great with his patients/parents !
Staff was very nice, helpful, and understanding. Dealt with 4 different very pleasant employees, even when I had a question that took extra work the receptionist took care of it promptly. Doctor was knowledgeable and even gave me extra info about my daughter birthmark next to her eye. Only reason I have 4 stars was because I was there for almost 2 hours and waited in three different rooms. Service was great though! Great experience, thank you!
I had a great experience with Pediatric Cardiology Associates. Every staff member I interacted with (5-6 people on phone and in the Brandon office) was friendly and helpful. Dr. Gonzalez was wonderful. He listened to my son and me, responded compassionately, and gave us clear and competent guidance on what to do and next steps. I left the office feeling reassured, and would recommend him and their office.
Recommend anyone considering scheduling an appointment at this office first request an estimate. For example, they charge $740 for a new patient visit, and that's before they add on charges for other services. We were there for 45 minutes, saw staff/doctor for less than 10 of those minutes for a routine issue, and unknowingly walked out with a multi-thousand dollar bill ($3k+). Will never return.
Dr John is truly the best! I know it's hard to wait for an appointment, but he does not cut corners or sacrifice quality of care just to squeeze in more patients. His office is welcoming and they give you the time and one on one attention that is so lacking in healthcare today. I HIGHLY recommend him. He has cared for both of my girls for almost 17 years. VERY VERY HAPPY.
