Wish I could leave 0 stars. Staff is incompetent. Obviously does not care about patient health. First day we were there the entire place smelled of rotting garbage. Disgusting!!! Husband had a stress test scheduled and they rescheduled it twice. Once because they no longer do testing on Tuesday. But when they booked the appointment they did do testing on Tuesday. Then the second appointment husband is at facility and they canceled it on the phone with him because they didn't have the equipment ready to do husband's testing. When talking to manager, she basically blew off any of my concerns. Will NEVER go here again. I would NOT recommend for anyone else to go here!!!

We've been here 3 times and today was the 1st time they asked for a copay!! Oh, we just updated our system!!! 3 appointments that take about a 1/2 hr each. Why can't you do the tests all at once? Cause your insurance will only cover 1 procedure a day!!!! RFK we need you desperately!!!

I would not recommend going to this doctor! Out of all the times I went there. I only had seen Dr Akella a few times for about 5 minutes. The nurse practitioner Michelle handled everything. I had a hospital heart procedure scheduled and she called me the day b4 to say she gave my info to the wrong insurance company and had to resubmit it again and will call me back to reschedule my procedure. That never happened. I kept calling the office and i went in person numerous times and was told she would call me back . I NEVER GOT A CALL BACK FROM MICHELLE OR DR AKELLA! I guess it was too much work involving getting the correct insurance and also to let me know if I had any copayment for the Anesthesiologist. How can you not call a patient back regarding a heart procedure that needs to be done? Also she was suppose to look into a lower price for a medication for me THAT NEVER HAPPENED EITHER! I had asked Dr Akella to fill out certain paperwork for me and he told me my primary care provider had to fill it out after I left it at his office and was on tbe bottom of a piles of paperwork that no one ever looked at. This whole ordeal made me feel like I did not matter and was forgotten about. I am now going to another doctor who on my first visit spent more time with me and really cared about my well being than Dr Akella and the nurse practitioner ever did!! Also my new doctor filled out my paperwork on my first visit that Dr Akella could not be bothered with. .

Did not have a good experience with the office or Doctor for that matter. Day one the office put a heart monitor on me, never once did they disclose that there may be an out of pocket expense for the monitor, nor did they take the time to check with my insurance to see if it was covered, and two months later, was sent a bill for $200, and we have wonderful health insurance. Was not impressed by Dr Akella. He put me through an extremely long procedure for a condition he wasn't even sure I had after only my second visit. He didn't even have the decency to talk with myself or my husband before or after the procedure to give us the results, instead, we were told to call his office on Monday for the results. I'm not one for giving reviews but I felt this practice rushed through every appointment, and was only interested in quantity of patients over quality. Thank goodness I have found an amazing new cardiologist!

Dr Akella is a wonderful doctor and a very kind man with a sense of humor that helps puts me at ease during appointments. I am thankful that he improved my quality of life with a Medtronics Linq implant and a successful cardiac ablation. I believe he really cares about his patients and he is a highly skilled surgeon. I do not believe the bad review below. Dr Akella is a cardiac surgeon and was probably responding to an emergency. Emergencies come before regular patient appointments. I would think that most people would understand this concept rather than to feel entitled to be seen immediately. Good things come to those who wait patiently. Dr Akella is worth waiting for!!!!
