Lee Health Coconut Point

This was my first surgery, and I was absolutely terrified going in, but from the moment I arrived, the entire team at Lee Memorial at Coconut Point made me feel calm, cared for, and truly safe. From admissions onward, everyone was so kind and reassuring. A lovely volunteer escorted me to the surgery floor, where someone was already waiting to greet me. In pre-op, I was cared for by two of the most amazing and attentive nurses. They were compassionate, patient, and made sure I felt comfortable every step of the way. I was especially nervous about going under general anesthesia, but the anesthesiologist was an absolute delight. They took the time to explain everything and assured me I'd be in good hands, which really helped ease my fears. As I was wheeled into the OR, everyone, including Dr. Spinelli, was professional, warm, and incredibly supportive. After surgery, the post-op team took excellent care of me, helping me get back on my feet and ready to go home. The facility itself is spotless and welcoming, but it's truly the people who make it exceptional. If I could give my experience 10 stars, I would. If I ever need another surgery or procedure, I will absolutely return to Lee Memorial at Coconut Point. Thank you to everyone who made such a scary experience feel safe and positive!

Typically in the past very well taken care of all the way around. However, my experience in the ER the other night was lacking in empathy and urgency. Not clear on the triage guidelines, however, after sitting in the waiting room with kidney stones vomiting in front of everyone for 4 hours I was finally taken to a room. Brian my nurse was excellent and moved quickly to assist me. Having worked in an ER myself, I don't understand why lacerations, and people on crutches went ahead of me. My wife was also pulled aside by security and scolded for being rude to the receptionist. She had attempted to get me a blanket twice in a half hour period as I was shaking uncontrollably. The lack of empathy and treatment by security and desk is disappointing.

Lee Health at Coconut Point. Has been a God send. The Pharmacy staff put up we me. Leadership there is on the front line. This is refreshing. The Pharmacist helps me to advocate for myself and he goes above and beyond to keep me at peace while I navigate through the evolution, and journey of this season of my life. Shout out to he is amazing friendly and clearly the best at his craft. Everyone there is always very helpful and professional. Thank you Lee Health. Jerry O

The staff is amazing. They were all so kind and helpful. I never heard a single staff member complain about anyone else. Or complain how much work they do. Which is sadly very common. Not here not one single staff member ! They all seemed to function as a team. So refreshing to find a place like my incredible Drs office there.

I am frustrated with the follow up staff. My doctor changed my medication amount. It should have been in the generic brand, which is free to us. It was written in the name brand. Call #1: I told them that. They sent it in wrong again. Call#2: "oh, we will change that right away. They never sent anything in. Call#3: "That will have to be reviewed by our clinical team. They'll contact you within 48 hours." This is unsatisfactory. My doctor did her part. It's the support staff that is dropping the ball.
