First Choice Neurology: Luis Becerra, MD

Dr. Becerra is the best neurologist I've ever had. His professionalism, knowledge, and dedication are absolutely unmatched. He is extremely detailed in his explanations, taking all the time needed to make sure you fully understand your condition and treatment. The overall experience is absolutely excellent, the care he provides is outstanding, and the entire office staff is friendly, attentive, and highly efficient. 100% recommended!

Dr. Becerra is wonderful but his staff is rude and will not return phone calls. Dr. Becerra prescribed me a medication that requires pre authorization from insurance and it's been three weeks now and no submission has yet been made nor have any of my calls inquiring as to the status of my pre authorization been returned. I am forced to post here with the hope that someone in the office may actually deem me important enough to receive a simple phone call back. Very disappointing. P.s. your phone tree is extremely broken and needs to be reprogrammed.

I want to be clear that my review is not for Dr. Becerra, as unfortunately I was unable to see him, therefore I cannot determine whether he is good or not. However, the reason I did not get to see him is that I waited 90 minutes, (hour and a half) and was told I still needed to wait an additional 20 minutes when I asked how much longer, so almost 2 hours before the doctor called me in. I was going in as a new patient, which means that this is the visit where the team should put their best foot forward, and they did not. This was very upsetting, and they were very inconsiderate of people's time. And I was there 15 minutes earlier to complete paperwork. Additionally, the front staff is so NOT friendly. They act like they are doing you a favor and you are an inconvenience. No smiles, no welcome, no thank you, no please, NO MANNERS. Honestly, I don't understand, how a business, especially a doctor's office where people come because they are already feeling crappy or struggling, can run like this. Horrible! I have never left a review for a doctor's office but this was such an upsetting experience that I feel it's my obligation to warn others, especially if you are someone that has a busy schedule and values your time.

This was my first time meeting Dr. Becerra. He was very thorough and explicit with explaining all of my test results and the treatment plan. He took his time to ensure I understood everything and this gave me tremendous comfort. I will definitely recommend him if you need a well rounded and educated Neurologist.
