Dr Joel Rosenberg is a board certified cardiologist with MedStar Cardiology Associates. He specializes in consultative cardiology, preventive cardiology, sleep medicine, and integrative medicine. For most of his career, Dr Rosenberg also practiced as a board certified interventional cardiologist, an experience that provided a unique insight into the relationship of cardiovascular biology and the clinical presentation of cardiovascular disease. Dr Rosenberg's incorporation of sleep medicine into his practice has complemented his holistic approach to the prevention, early detection and treatment of cardiovascular disease.

Dr Rosenberg is a wonderful doctor who listens closely to his patients and treats them within the most respectful manner. I am so sorry to learn he is retiring. He will be very difficult to replace.

As happenstance, I was the last patient with whom Joel Rosenberg, MD, consulted. I had been under his care since the late 1970s. I was the only patient on his calendar yesterday, his last "practicing" day after decades of mission-driven service to legions of grateful patients. Dr. Rosenberg is a terrific physician. He told me what I didn't want to hear: For your heart health you need to lose weight. So I did. I am a much stronger, healthier and happier woman. Down two dress sizes... Everything fits! Get a personal trainer too, he said. I did. Pressing 45 lbs., which is a lot for someone 5' 3". He is a no nonsense, caring person and I am so grateful.
