I've seen Dr Davenport for many years. She's been terrific. At one point she was concerned about a heart valve. She scheduled me quarterly to monitor it and said if the measurement increased it might required open heart surgery. Fortunately it did not increase in size. I went back to my annual check up schedule. I think her staff is great. They are friendly and professional. I feel very fortunate to be seen by this physician!

Our family has been seeing Dr Davenport for over 25 years. She is thorough, compassionate, and truly a Top Doc. She listens. She takes time to explain in terms you understand. Just the best.

Dr. Davenport dismissed my elderly father as a patient in his hour of greatest need simply because he declined to take the COVID vaccine. He had concerns about taking a new pharmaceutical product, especially since he had pre-existing myocarditis. Dr. Davenport allowed her irrational fear and group think to take over her decision-making. She used the excuse that she had children in her home. The worst part is that she didn't even have to courage to tell my parents directly--she delegated the task to an office assistant even though my father had been with Dr. Davenport for many years. My parents were left looking for a new cardiologist just weeks before my father passed away. Despicable and unethical. Avoid!

I went in for a cardiopulmonary stress test after experiencing shortness of breath for over two weeks. I was told that the pulmonary results were normal at the conclusion of my testing, but was hospitalized a few days later for a bunch of pulmonary embolisms. The staff did not get back to me about having my medical records sent on. Davenport is an older doctor and told me in the hospital that she did not know how to read the new medical imaging. She is a solo practitioner with a P.A. who administers testing. Avoid.

Dr. D. is extremely knowledgable and compassionate. She has been my doctor and my husband's for many years. I appreciate her no nonsense demeanor, combined w/ humor. Currently my husband is enduring a lengthy hospital stay, mostly unrelated to his heart (one "event" that she handled it quickly!) She has visited him several times and consults with his medical team concerning care and medications o make sure that aspect of his care is covered. I also greatly respect the pro-bono clinic she has every Saturday morning at the Washington Hospital Center to help those in need.
