Dr Yu is very fair and truly takes her time to listen to concerns of her patients and assess her patients. She does what is best for us (my whole family) as her patients, not what we think we need. She explains it thoroughly too. My family are lucky to have her as our Primary Doctor.
She was my doctor for many years and last year I found out I was anemic. She waited for my numbers to be low to let me know and show concerns only to refer me to a hematologist right away. After I did some research, I found out my hemoglobin numbers were decreasing since 2018 and she never mentioned anything to me. I asked her many times to do a vitamin deficiency blood work and she advised me to eat vegetables. She was negligent with my health and I would never recommend her to anyone. She's horrible.
Terrible. I went to see Lu Yu as I was very sick. She told me the flu would just have to "take its course." I said I am sick and need medicine. She refused to prescribe me medicine and then she was rude and condensing and yelled at me for asking for help. She is not sympathetic or wanting to help her patients. I went to see another doctor who was helpful and understanding and gave me medicine and within 2 days I was better. If I listened to Lu Yu I would still be sick. Horrible that a doctor would talk to a patient like that and not offer help. Horrible. She has no empathy for patients and has a nasty attitude.
I relied on Dr. Yu for many years as a primary physician. She is thorough, professional, practical and calm. I trust her with the health of my family and I appreciate the fact that she was never alarmist, and was careful not to over medicate. She treats the whole patient and encourages good healthy habits.
Terrible. This is my first time leaving a public review for a medical practice. Their office staff cancelled on me last minute after confirming my appointment through ZocDoc. I had booked the appointment several weeks ago. Please go elsewhere. These folk don't value your time. They also don't deserve professional licences if they're going to be deficient in their patient care, communication, and responsiveness. My experience with Stamford Health has been terrible in general.
