Patient
For your sanity and blood pressure DO NOT make an appointment with him. My mom's appointment was canceled "mysteriously" 4 times! What gets used a lot is Dr. Schuster had an emergency- after a few times it starts to sound like BS. The wait after being checked in to a room typically is about 45+ mins. Fair warning do expect appointment made to only be rescheduled a few times. Trust me I'm not the only one who has said this and won't be the last. His office is known to be the worst. Even those who work at Stamford hospital know this about his office. Also, asking their office to approve medications take at least 3 weeks. I've had to call 3-4 times to keep asking them for refill requests, "Okay we'll put it in" to only have to call back again and again because they actually don't. My husband called to have his cholesterol meds refilled 2 weeks ago and was told he needed to see Dr. Schuster. Couldn't get in early enough so they rescheduled him with Carolyn Kosov, the APRN. He gets to his appointment this morning and was told he has to get a EKG in order to get his refills. He needed to get to his next appointment and explained that when scheduled he was not told he needed one. They kept pressing him to get it done and how this Nurse said he has to get done. Had he known he would've been more prepared time wise. Now mind you, you DON'T need an EKG just for a simple refill for cholesterol especially if you have no change in your health. So he left paid his $15 and didn't get his refills. My family and I won't be back and surely won't be recommending to family and friends. There's tons of other cardiologists in Fairfield County.
