Enjoyed my first visit with Dr Berns. He explained everything and spent time answering all my questions. Look forward to seeing him again when needed.

Called to make apt for my Mother I will have to bring her to the visit. Apt desk person was very rude. Stated we book in order. Not patient friendly. It was the way she was speaking. Just very rude. When Family is taking patient to the apt and they have full time jobs it would be nice if the apt could be 1st in the morning or later in the day. Her response was basically OH WELL not my problem . There are ways to say things to people without the I Don't care what your situation is attitude. She wouldn't say what the last apt of the day time was. I work for a Dr. office and would never be that rude. She shouldn't be working as customer service person. Any person who works for a Dr. Office and is the contact to the patient should be as nice as possible, because if they are not, that is how the DR looses patients and money.

I read about Dr Berns after the referral by my regular cardiologist and I was certain that he had the experience and background I needed. I was correct. He was totally prepared and knew my history before the meeting. The examination was thorough and he did an excellent job of explaining matters to me, particularly the need for tests that he was prescribing. He's a great communicator, decisive and, important to this senior citizen, understanding and compassionate, I couldn't have gotten better care. I will give him the highest rating

The 5 stars are for Dr. Berns. He is a great doctor and tells you how it is. No fluff. I highly recommend him I would give 0 stars for the problem I had being charged for an ecg/ekg that wasn't done due to the fact that nobody read the doctors notes, then trying to get the charge reversed. The insurance company also paid for a procedure that wasn't done. I went back and forth from the billing office to the doctors office, for a few weeks and each one saying it was the others place to fix it. I finally got a hold of a customer service representative Anthony in the billing / business office. He knew what needed to be done. Thank you Anthony! It was now in the hands of the doctors office. I called a few times and they said that the person in charge was looking into it. I waited another week, called the doctors office and they said it was in the hands of the billing office. The doctors office never called me to let me know that they contacted the billing office and how long it would take for them to come to a decision. I called the billing office again and Barbara the customer rep. told me that it was being reviewed and it would take 30 to 45 days to come to a decision. I was livid. In the mean time I will be billed each month for the ecg. I told Barbara thank you and told her that I recieved more information from her than anyone in the doctors office. Again, thank you Barbara! So please, if you have any routine procedures done in an office from Trinity Health, check your print out that they give you when you are leaving the office. So this doesn't happen to you. Koodos to Anthony and Barbara!

Horrible experience. I was in extreme pain/dizzy/experiencing arrhythmia. I had recently been in the hospital. It took every ounce of energy to go into his office being escorted with help. He could care less, never came into the room and sent in his physician assistant instead. He acted like he was busy (but I could hear him at the front desk busy talking personal non sense issues with his staff) instead of making time for a patient with severe heart issues sitting in the office waiting. Physician assistant was of absolutely no help as well.
