About Dr. Dr. Allison Padegimas
Dr. Padegimas has exceptional training and a passion for working with patients to develop a personalized plan of care. She provides comprehensive cardiac care, with two unique areas of interest: Cardiovascular disease in women: Focusing on heart issues that women face, risk factors, and the optimal treatments to advance the care of female cardiology patients. Cardio-oncology: Working with cancer patients to minimize cardiac risks during treatment and helping cancer survivors remain heart-healthy long after treatment. All the staff was pleasant, respectful & friendly. The appointment was for my 90 year old mother. Everyone was patient & kind to her. It takes special people to care for our elderly population. As an RN myself I appreciate the importance of this care. Dr Padegimas was wonderful as usual. She focused on my mother & spoke with her directly about her health issues. She was extremely knowledgeable, kind, understanding, respectful & reassuring. I appreciate that she spoke directly to my mom rather than speaking exclusively to me about her health. I believe speaking over the patient & about that patient to her caregiver makes the patient feel invisible. My mom felt in control & included in her health care plan. Dr Padegimas is also nicely conservative & doesn't rush to alter my mother's health care needs. Many thanks to this excellent cardiology group for taking my mother as a patient!
