How disappointing. The name "Yale" used to mean something. It took me a month to make an appointment for a simple EKG, mainly due to the fact that no one answers the phone here. Once I left a message with the answering service I eventually got a call back. Then, trying to get a price for the EKG was the next challenge. I called several times and was unsuccessful, so I went to my appointment early. The nice woman at reception was able to get thru to billing. $233.88 for an EKG, no discount was offered for cash payment/self pay. I left. A medical office needs to answer their phones during business hours and messages need to be returned. Additionally, a price list should be available for front desk staff members; and reasonable prices need to be offered for simple, routine tests. Yale, you can do better.

I had my echo done today in Branford. I am almost through with my radiation (finishing up breast cancer treatment) so my skin on my chest and left side particularly is in pretty bad shape. So what is usually a completely painless procedure like Echo today was wildly uncomfortable to say the least. My sonographer Thomas (Tom) was beyond helpful and patient and did everything so I am as comfortable as I can be. Honestly he was absolutely the best. He talked to me through everything and trying really hard to be fast but still thorough and attentive. If I could give 20 stars to this man I would. Thank you so much!!!!!

I've been under the care of Dr. Battsford now retired), & PA Ryan Donovan since my first ICD was implanted in 2007.
Today, for the first time, I saw Dr. Clancy, who implanted my third ICD.
Since that first implant, between these electrophysiologists and my regular cardiologist, I've had what's been described on different occasions as "remarkable Improvement" and "almost unheard of improvement" in heart function.
I'd had two implants done up to April, 2018, and the technician who did the download on that visit said that within three days, the "low battery alarm" would have started beeping. I'm glad I asked about it. She disabled the alarm that would have been both annoying for me to hear, and difficult to explain to strangers hearing it.(LOL, it sounds like a European police siren, though not very loud.)
Time for a battery replacement! The whole gizmo actualy gets changed.
It got done about a month later at Yale New Haven Hospital on an outpatient basis.

Once you get an appt everything is fine. But don't bother calling the number in Branford. They either say they are closed when it's daytime or you are on hold forever. Call the main number in New Haven. At least you get a person who can help you!

Yale cardiology has really gone downhill in the past 3 years.THey were much better when they were on Harrison Ave. They do not call you back.I had an echo and no one called me with the results.I called 3 times in 6 weeks-no results.I made a complaint and Dr.Setaro called me back that night with important information. Now,they do not call me back to make an appointment. This is really not professional and quite poor for the patient.
