Dr. Michael E. Staab, MD - South Denver Cardiology

First of all I did not even want to give a one start for Dr. Stabb at south denver cardiology. My mom went to this so called experienced cardiologist and he NEVER took the time to look over my moms chart or heart monitor results or really anything when she was at her appointment with him. My mom was on eliquis the office would NEVER give samples his nurse told my mom "we we are not a pharmacy" just even to get by until her next refill. My mom's last appointment with Stabb was awful she left in tears. He Basically told her my mom That he does not have a diagnosis for her. In other words he can't help her. My mom asked if she should still be on eliquis and he said I you can stop it my mom said I hope I don't have a stroke and Dr. Stabb said I hope not either he told my mom that in his exact words! A Professional Doctor is supposed to help people. I am Disgusted, and really, just angry about what happened with this Doctor. Heather Moffatt

What a great Doctor. We waited for a few minutes, and Dr. Staab came in, all by himself, and asked questions, made notes and listened. Then we talked. This guy is awesome. You trust him immediately, and he is smart and skilled and kind. We were lucky to find him. Highly recommended!!! Ten out of ten stars.

First off, his staff called me an hour before my appointment asking if I could come in 'right now' since he wanted to move appointments up for the day (it was a Friday). I couldn't because of my babysitter. Second, he seemed short and annoyed our entire visit and I could tell that was the last place he wanted to be. I went in because I suspected I had P.O.T.S, but needed a tilt table test to be sure. He wouldn't even talk to me about it and outright said No to a TTT. All he offered me, even after I showed him my Fitbit's log of my BPM spikes and told him my POTS symptoms, was an echocardiogram. I asked him if he can tell if I have POTS with an echo, and he said no. I asked him why I'm getting it then, and he simply said 'To check your overall heart'. I cried after this appointment because I had waited TWO MONTHS to see this heart specialist to get me a heart test, after being chronically ill for 8 months with a mystery illness. All to be dismissed by 'The heart specialist' . What's even more infuriating about this is that I eventually got a Tilt Table Test ordered by an awesome physicians assistant, and it was POSITIVE for POTS. So, I was right about having POTS and the fact he wouldn't even consider that diagnosis or even have a talk with me about it, instead, acting annoyed by me. Made me feel very dismissed and disrespected. I may look young, but please do not assume I am ignorant. I'm never going to see this doctor again.

It was clear 5. Dr. Staab gave clear answers to all my questions, described my current and likely future conditions well, and sy recoocheduled an EKG and six month followup which were exactly what he and I felt were just right. The check out report was excellent and I will add it to my records.

Dr. Staab was very professional. He reviewed my symptoms and fully explained his recommended treatment plan. He addressed my concerns and we proceeded to schedule my appointment for treatment.
