About Dr. Amy Mertens, DO - South Denver Cardiology
Dr. Amy Mertens joined South Denver Cardiology in 2025 in order to pursue her professional passion for complex and high-risk coronary interventions, CTO PCI, cardiogenic shock and refractory angina. Dr. Mertens specializes in patients with microvascular angina (small vessel artery disease) and complex coronary artery disease. She enjoys caring for patients who have been told there are no other options (including those with chronic total occlusions and bypass turndowns). She is board certified in internal medicine, general cardiology, interventional cardiology, cardiovascular computed tomography, and echocardiography. She is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography & Interventions.
