Patient
They called her Wednesday to confirm her appointment Thursday at 4pm. She called Thursday morning, at my request, to confirm location since she is unable to drive at the moment and I would be shutting down my office for the afternoon to get her to her appointment. They confirmed her appointment was at the Western Hematology-Oncology office @ 400 Indiana St. She has been a 7 yrs patient of Dr. Kantor for two bouts with breast cancer and now has nodules on her spleen which are believed may be cancer. We arrived at 3:45pm for her appointment and some how they showed an appointment but not a time in their system. Knowing it was clearly a scheduling error on their end, the only option they could figure out was to reschedule with a physicians assistant in 8 days. In an attempt to be seen, she offered to stay until after his last appointment at 4:30 but the good doctor was unwilling to stay beyond his normal work hours to rectify the scheduling issue created by his staff. I guess they think cancer will just slow its progression and wait for them to get their scheduling under control. This is truly disappointing and a horrible way to run an office and treat their patients. I hope National Jewish stands up and takes notice of what their good name is attached to with this office.
