Patient
A few months ago during my initial and only visit, Dr. Dow told me that my SOB was probably related to aging, and sent me away. Knowing that it was more than that, I made an appt at Jewish Health in Denver, where additional tests were ordered. Again, my complaint was shortness of breath on exertion. JH did a stress ECHO (something that Dr. Dow never suggested but is an appropriate test for my complaint) on Wed and found the following: "* With stress, estimated pulmonary artery systolic pressure is severely elevated, 65 mmHg. * With stress, tricuspid regurgitation is moderate to severe." I am obviously not ok, thank goodness I went to JH. I hope that in the future Dr. Dow will listen a bit more to your patients, as this is a serious diagnosis.
