I have only good things to say about my visit with Dr. Carlson. He took the time to help me understand more about what I am experiencing with sudden rapid heartbeat. He listened to my concerns, asked me questions and showed great empathy. I am very thankful I was able to see him today as a new patient. Dr. Carlson was friendly and personable. His explanation was very clear and he drew a picture to increase my understanding. He also ordered a test for me and will call with the results, not requiring another appointment unless the results merit it. That is very considerate of my time and money. The office staff were very efficient and I actually saw Dr. Carlson earlier than my scheduled time, when does that ever happen?!!
I really appreciate Dr. Carlson. He is one of the only doctors I have that actually takes time to listen and try to help. I have 7 doctors. Even after not seeing him for 8mo he responds timely in the message portal to any questions I have. Hes also not arrogant and if he doesn't know something, he will tell you. My condition is very different & difficult, but I feel he is doing all he can to rule out heart issues. Im grateful he is a part of my care team.
As a retired Hem/Onc Nurse Practitioner I am always sizing up new doctors: do they listen, are they thorough, is their recommendation a "one size fits all" recipe of prescriptions - especially in today's healthcare environment where I feel compassion is on life-support. Dr Erik Carlson was great: very professional, good listener, very thorough in assessment and recommendations. I felt respected and comfortable with his recommendations.
Dr Erik Carlson is an excellent listener, explains clearly, obviously cares. He is thorough, thoughtful and inspires trust. I feel very fortunate that our neighbor and retired Advanced Practice RN told my husband and I about Dr Carlson. Both front and back office staff were friendly and efficient.
