Let me start this off by saying that Dr. Nguyen is not like most doctors. I have had my share of "doctors", you know the type... they pretend to listen, then tell you what you are doing wrong and don't really listen to you. For that reason I have been skeptical of doctors and only went when absolutely necessary. After seeing doctor Nguyen for a couple years now, I can say without a doubt that he listens. When I went for my annual, we disagreed a little about my current health but he did listen, and at a follow-up appointment I could really tell he was listening to me. Over the last several months I have been dealing with an extraordinary issue, and without doctor Nguyen I don't know how I would be doing today. I should also mention, I usually get uncomfortable in doctors offices due to bad experiences previously. I would get tense, my bp would rise, and sometimes I would start to sweat. I do not have that issue when I see doctor Nguyen. On another note, he is great with the kiddos too! He has a poster board that he takes small drawings from kids and does a side by side where he does a detailed drawing of their picture for them to see a comparison. My youngest was so excited when he saw that, that he spent weeks drawing pictures until he had one he felt good enough to share, lol. All in all I would say, if you are looking for a primary and are on the fence, give him a chance. You may find out, like myself, that not all doctors are the same. 10/10 would recommend.
