I took my 98 year old Mother to the Warner Plaza Urgent Care Facility on Thanksgiving Day (11/26/15) for medical attention for a 5-6" tear in her forearm skin. On this date, our experience was delightful because we were seen by Dr. Enrico Melson and his staff. They treated my Mother and I with respect and kindness, caring for her every need and assuring her she would feel no pain as they used tape strips to close the gap in her skin. We were told to return on Saturday (11/28/15) for a recheck. On Saturday, we were seen by a most arrogant, rude, argumentative Dr. Nagesh Shetty. He walked into the room, hands in pockets, never looked at my Mothers chart and the first thing he asked was "Has she been taking the medication". When I explained the Wal-Mart Pharmacy did not have the med (anti-biotic Dr. Melson prescribed) on hand and I would be picking it up on Monday, Dr. Shetty went into a verbal confrontation with me asking why the pharmacy didn't have it. After going back and forth for several times, I finally said, "never mind the medication, she's here for a recheck on her arm". He turned to a nurse standing in the corner working on a laptop and asked her why my Mother was here. The nurse told him everything was in my Mom's chart on the counter in front of him. With his hands still in his pockets he sarcastically responded, "Oh, it's in the chart, huh". Finally, one of the nurses who'd helped Dr. Melson on Thursday came into the room and started removing the bandages and re-dressing Mom's wound. Meanwhile (still standing with hands in pockets), Dr. Shetty began asking a series of questions totally unrelated to why we were there - i.e. where did Mom work, what type of work did she do, where did she live, what happened to her eye, how old was she, what was her secret to aging, what did she eat. Occasionally, he'd bark an order to the nurse doing the bandaging, but he NEVER touched my Mom! In closing, he repeated to me to get the medication and keep the wound dry. That was it! What a JOKE this person is to the doctor profession!! Dr. Melson gets a A+++, but Dr. Shetty gets an F+++. Thank goodness we had the pleasant experience with Dr. Melson on Thursday, because if Dr. Shetty were my 1st experience in this facility, I would never return!!! Now I know not to go there if Shetty is on duty.
