I got out of surgery last week and all I heard was how much of an awesome world class the doctor is...DO NOT RUN from this doctor if you need surgery. I don't care if someone slaps me in the face, if they are one of the best.

Run away from this Dr! Get a 2nd opinion!! Do not let him do surgery on you! With the excuse "he does not like to talk" he provides no time to the patient's family. He talked to the patient but then the patient was too sick to be able to understand it all. Go to a Hospital that truly specializes in heart. **GET A SECOND OPINION** do not trust this Dr's.

He saved my Life!!!!! Had 7 bipasses a pig valve and pacemaker. Its been 6 years since my surgery and recovery Wouldn't be writing this without his care and expertise in his field. Great bed side manner and a real champion in your corner for recovery. Wish I could thank him personally again!!! Always grateful to GOD and Dr Tovar. Ed Knebl

This was my husband 4 open heart I was told keep comfortable will probably pass away needed a cardiologist with high risk his cardiologist unable to perform surgery wasn't sure if 1 available dr tovar came to me said he would do surgery very ruff surgery he survived dr tovar is an excellent surgeon poor bedside manners not much of a conversation piece but saved my husband's life long recovery but will pull through If u have a family member critical with heart disease dr tovar I would highly recommend
