Patient Reviews

Patient

Very low quality health care- lacks staff and nurses and supplies- rude and unfriendly nurses- wrong treatments--Not just couldn't relieve my bronchitis symptoms but aggravated it- no doctors to give discharge instructions so they wanted me to stay overnight! and wait for him/ her all night without giving any blankets in 6-7 hours!-terrible

★★★★★

This is to express sincere gratitude for the exceptional care provided by nurse Lindsay during the visit to the Emergency Room on 08/25/25 The ER was very busy, but she was calm and professional. The attentiveness in checking regularly was impressive, as was the clarity in explaining the treatment plan. Lindsay compassion and dedication made a difference. Thank you for hiring such a skilled and empathetic individual. The care provided was excellent.

This place will ambush you with an excessive bill. Nobody warns you about the charges you will be incurring, even though other hospitals do. I found out the hard way when I took my daughter to UCLA Health West Valley Medical Center for nothing serious, and they sent us a bill for $15,000. She had food poisoning or a stomach virus, so they examined her, did blood tests, gave her IV fluids, and sent her home with the assurance that there was nothing to be worried about. Then we received the bill--and saw that the blood tests they performed cost $9,000. I complained about it, and UCLA Health didn't care whatsoever. They told me to pursue my issue with her insurance carrier, totally ignoring the fact that the insurance company was basing their participation on the original bill from UCLA Health. The people I have been dealing with are completely disinterested, don't care about what I'm talking about, and they provide no help whatsoever. They are useless, and I'm telling everyone I know to be very careful, or to avoid UCLA Health altogether.

Billing us after 10 months. If we knew you do not cover we would not have come to emergency. Did not even give us a room. Waited 6 hours. The doctor pressured us to do another unnecessary test. In addition, their staff could not even do a blood test without bruising my dad's arm who had perfectly good veins. Shame on UCLA. Do not go to this hospital. They only care about money and do not care about patients.

Patient

Very bad staff, no sense of urgency, and their care quite literally left the patient is worse condition than she came in. Doctors seem to be there for the paycheck with no care for the patients they "have" to treat. Would not recommend if you actually want to get answers or problems solved.
