Dr. Jamali has a back office staff that is the worst. Zero communication. Zero transparency. It's taking upwards of 4 months to get a procedure scheduled. Initially Ins. denied the claim. However, it was approved on appeal. I heard nothing from the "Scheduling Coordinator" or anyone else. I called & told them that the procedure was approved on appeal. I was told that they would find the letter & get it scheduled. Then radio silence. I took the appeal letter & hand carried it to their office & told the front desk to deliver it. Still silence. When I reached out to find out what they were doing, this "scheduling Coordinator" said they were still working on the appeal. I had just delivered the approved appeal letter to the office. I called & had a rather heated discussion with her. She asked me to email to her. I hand carried it to their office the day before. After she hung up on me, I called the Business Office Manager & explained the issue. She said she'd take care of it. Well, they found the letter & I was told that this Coordinator would work to get this scheduled. She sent me an email stating that 6/17 might be available. I responded, saying ok. It wasn't. Then I was told that the Doctor had been booked into July. So, July 14th or 15th might be available. I said, go ahead & book either day & if there is a cancelation, keep me in mind. That was 2 weeks ago. I had heard nothing since. This is the office of a Cardiologist. People with a heart condition have to rely on good care, not just from the doctor, but also from the people who work for him. For many, their life depends on it.

Hi if someone can please transfer this messages to Dr Jamali as I can't rech him and his office does not want to connect me with him direct that will be highly appreciated. I am one of his patients as my Dr has referred me to him and I have been having some concerns that I need to pass it to him and make you also aware thanks. To Dr Jamali . I wanted to bring to your attention incidents that have occurred with your team, as I have been unable to reach you directly and I am quite dissatisfied with what has transpired. 1) On April 8th, you referred me to ProHealth Advanced Imaging Center in West Hills for a heart CT scan. I went for my appointment on April 22nd, and was asked to pay $150 out of pocket. When I inquired if they had submitted the request to my insurance, they said they had not and that if they did and it was denied, I would have to pay more. Knowing that the imaging center was in my network and my insurance would cover a portion of the test, I requested that they submit the request to my insurance. I later received a bill on May 14th for $300. When I called to inquire, I was told that no request had ever been submitted to my insurance. I then spoke with Ruth from your billing department, and she confirmed that they had not submitted the request to my insurance. When I asked her to do so, she called me back after 2 days to inform me that the request had been denied due to not being submitted within 14 days of the test. I expressed my dissatisfaction, making it clear that this was not Ruth's fault, but an issue with your office. I was told that someone would get back to me, but I have been stuck in a frustrating cycle, incurring additional time and effort, and now facing a $300 bill that I should not have to pay. 2) On May 17th, I received a call from you office that my insurance had denied the stress test and that I would need to come in for a treadmill test. When I went for the treadmill test on May 20th, I later discovered that the initial request had actually been denied by my previous cardiologist, on March 18th. As a result, your office had to wait 45 days before submitting a new request.Which they never did and I was given a false info Additionally, I was asked to pay $100 out of pocket for the treadmill test, even though yiu are in my insurance network, I again called to request that every request of service should go through my insurance first which again the treadmill test request have not been submitted to my insurance first I am extremely frustrated by these incidents and the lack of coordination and communication between your office and the various providers involved. I would appreciate your immediate attention to these matters and a resolution that ensures I am not left with unexpected and unjustified out-of-pocket expenses.
