Overall, the staff are good, and my dad hasn't had any issues with his primary doctor. However, he's been waiting over a month for a referral with no call from the referral department. They told my parents, "If you don't hear from us in a month, feel free to call your insurance and ask for a list of doctors in your network." I'm sorry, but this is exactly why you have staff in the referral department who get paid to do this work--they have access to my father's insurance and know what facilities accept his coverage. I don't have any medical background, so it's difficult for me to help beyond calling and providing his insurance information Adventist Health Please do better and make sure your staff are doing what they get paid to do. Or if you're hiring, let me get an interview--since I'm already doing the legwork, I feel like part of the team!

I very highly recommend VMC and the staff. Unfortunately I've had many opportunities to experience how Wonderful, Competent,Caring and Compassionate the ENTIRE STAFF IS. TWO OF THE MOST IMPRESSIVE DOCTORS That I have been treated by are Dr Lovelace and Dr Pap. Just one recent experience: In addition to the staff being amazing, I arrived for a 1:30 appointment. I was treated for a number of alments. Dr Lovelace not only provided great attention to all my Needs she found an immediate cure for a problem that many other Docctors had treated me for over 20 years! Also she determined I needed blood work and xrays. Rather procedures taking days and traveling to different facilities she got everything done at VMC for me that same day absolutely amazing and to top that off she stayed LATE to obtain final results and contacted me at home at 7:00 p.m. from her office stil working on that same case. That is just one of many reasons I feel so strongly in recommending both VMC and Dr Lovelace and her Staff Thank you Charles Baker

Darlene Franks(Dermatologist)Juanita Castellano(Nurse Practitioner), absolutely amazing I came in after work into the walk in clinic told them my problem, I was told that they couldn't do anything but refer me to a doctor who can then refer me to a dermatologist. I don't know what happened in the background but Juanita came and told me Darlene would be able to try to squeeze me in the next day after I was told that there wasn't any spots until April. I let them know I work and it would be such short notice. Juanita proceeded to walk me to Darlene saying "I will see what I can do for you". I believe that the medical clinic was closed or about to close with no more appointments, and Darlene went out of her way to check out what I was in there for. They were both so kind and had amazing hospitality. I had an amazing experience and give a big thank you to Juanita and Darlene.

The care of the clinicians and staff is great, although wait times can be very long. That is where is stopped, beware if you are cash pay, accounting and billing does not treat you fairly for a simple quick care visit. Expect to pay over a hundred dollars up front and then expect them to bill you later and not even provide the itemized statement upfront for transparency. They will just bill you and expect you to pay. Once you get the bill take a look at the codes they bill you and expect them to charge you almost double what you paid upfront because they coded it extra complex and for a extended time over 30 minutes when you only spend less 5 mins with the clinician, no tests, no labs, no imaging. Come on you guys where is the transparency and fairness?

Visalia medical clinic is an outstanding place to take all your medical needs. The doctors and the staff are the friendliest and most helpful as they listen to your problems and give you good advice. I've been going there over 30 years and always have had top notch doctors and specialist doctors. What I mostly like about it is all the doctors are right there in one building, no running all over town. So in a nutshell I give The Visalia medical clinic an 11 out of 10 rating.
