Arunasalam Siva MD

My first expression I thought it was a good doctor but I've had them for years and let me tell you I was extremely wrong I'm currently at Desert valley Hospital with blood pressure wouldn't go under the 200s it was 250/166 , 244/128 , 209/118, 206/114 I was in the 200s while in the ER three different doctors didn't want me to go , I was admitted by Doctor Lisa and Dr Rehdi Did Not want to release me which apparently that these doctors overrid him and I'm currently admitted and 289 bed A Still doing horrible ringing in my ear extremely dizzy and nauseous I have extreme pain in my chest a lot of pressure sharpness my whole left side my leg and my arm hands were numb and he still wanted to release me I have had six heart attacks six stroke and 6 Stints and This Dr Siva wanted to release me, having the knowledge of my Health History!!! Just because I didn't want to have another angiogram again after did one less than 5 days ago! He cares more about making money than my actual health!!!

Dr Siva has been my heart doctor since 2002. I lucked out n was in the emergency room and he was on duty when I was having a heart attack. Every since then he has been taking wonderful care of me. Always checking me out with true care and concern. We are very Blessed here in the High Desert to have such a wonderful,talented , knowledgeable and caring heart surgeon.

Dr. Siva is great when you can get him, but usually you are seen by an assistant. The administrative assistants however are incompetent and very indifferent to patients. I had an 8:50 appointment to get the results of a CT scan to determine if my cancer had returned and I had to wait an hour before I found out that the back office was doing some kind of training on a new system. I was then told I had to wait another hour before I would be seen. I don't understand why they would schedule appointments during training. Or, more importantly, why training is more important than patient care or why nothing was said to me when I checked in. When I tried to call back to arrange a follow-up appointment, the operator hung up on me twice and when I did get thru, it was to the voice mail system. Like I said, Siva is great, but don't complain about the poor service from the administrative personnel. Then you're really treated unprofessionally.

Like everyone says Dr Siva is fantastic, extremely knowledgable and kind. But the wait to be seen is three hours plus. By the time you get into the inner office you are tired, thirsty, fidgety, exasperated, angry, blood pressure rising and don't care about communicating why you are there and how do you feel. So I quit going. Switched doctors to his protoge and eventually same thing happened. Long waits, hustled through a short visit with the excuse it was Medicare's fault.."only can give three minutes to each patient". So I quit there also. What's wrong with our system? Doctors are getting richer. An population is available needing care. So now I'm 87 with CHF, COPD, blocked carotid arteries and failing rapidly. I'll just bide my time without the frustration.

Dr. Siva is a phenomenal doctor. He goes out of his way to treat his patients with care and precision. With his attentive to detail and expertise he truly is like no other doctor I've seen before.
