Patient
Great doctors but the administrative staff is horrible. My husband broke his arm recently, and we sent a couple of messages through the health portal, all we needed was the name of an orthopedic surgeon as the medical records from the injury and x-rays, were transferred from New York where we were vacationing and were told they were unable to provide that without a visit and couldn't accommodate a visit until middle of July! We are astounded that an established patient with a documented injury needing urgent attention would be treated in such a way! I called today, the Ventura office to speak with the practice manager and was told that she was unavailable and would contact either myself or my husband within 24 to 48 hours, yikes! All we needed was a recommendation for a good orthopedic surgeon as our particular insurance does not require pre-authorization. One would think that a primary care physician would be able to provide that? I thought the whole point of primary care was to have a point person that managed your health, but apparently that's not the case in Ventura. I'm told this is not the case in other areas. We've always been very pleased with UCLA in Westwood and Santa Monica. We are in the process of transferring our care to Santa Barbara.
