Some companies try to impress and draw clients with high tech contemporary imagery or flashy websites. Unfortunately for those companies their resources will be wasted on me. What makes me take a second look to potentially offer a company my business is time-tested customer service, which among other things refers to respecting the customer with timely relevant communication. Customers should not have to send repeated reminders (i.e., emails or phone calls) to customer service representative about an inquiry or issue. Companies would do well to place themselves in the position of their current and potential customers and ask themselves, "What are my reasonable expectations regarding the facets of decent customer service with respect to communication, timely responses, and comprehensive replies." What I just expressed are elements that are important to me when factoring in the many elements of what companies will get my business and what companies will retain my loyalty.
