I don't understand the negative reviews. My experience was nothing short of perfect. The staff was stellar!! Everyone was extremely nice and made me feel beyond comfortable. I went in for an outpatient procedure and I showed up at the wrong building. A staff member asked me where I was going but when I provided the address, she didnt know what Mayo building I was looking for. My mom and I assumed we would just figure it out. When we got to the car, I heard the staff women trying to get our attention. She had tracked us down outside at our car and went over and beyond to gwt the info for where we needed to go and gave us directions to get there. I wish I would have taken note of her name. But I can't rave about my experience with Mayo Hospital enough. From admitting to the nurses, particularly Ray in the CT lab, AMAZING guy! They were all fabulous. I was referred by my UCLA doctor. Mayo's service today was on par with that of UCLA, which is fantastic as well. All I know is that when you treat people well, it's usually reciprocated. I appreciate everyone who cared for me during my time at Mayo.

Five-Star Experience at Henry Mayo's Labor & Delivery Unit
I recently delivered my baby at Henry Mayo Hospital, and the care I received from the nurses and doctors was nothing short of amazing. I had a ginormous baby and ended up having a cesarean, and throughout the entire experience, I felt completely supported, safe, and cared for.
Dr. Zackler was absolutely incredible -- compassionate, skilled, and attentive every step of the way. Dr. Alessi and Dr. Yen, my son's pediatricians, were also wonderful and made sure our little one was thriving from the very beginning. The nurses were true angels -- kind, patient, and always ready to help, whether it was with pain management, recovery, or newborn care.
For anyone looking to have an amazing delivery experience, I can't recommend Henry Mayo's Labor & Delivery unit enough. They made what could have been a stressful experience into something truly beautiful and memorable.

My brother and I can not say enough good things about Henry Mayo Hospital!!!! Not only did they provide the best care to take care of my Mom in ER and ICU but they cared about her so much
My Mom was in ICU on her 98th birthday and the whole ICU staff came to her room at midnight and sang happy birthday to her. It has been months and my Mom still talks about how special she felt that day and what a memorable occasion it was.
Thank you for blessing our family!

Went to ER at advice of my medical provider. Told them exactly the issue. They did tests and confirmed, but refused to help. I had to go to another hospital, which agreed I needed medical services. My Henry Mayo bill for 2 hour vist and no medical help was over $11k. Kern County hospital had me 2 nights and did emergency surgery and bill was only $22k. Felt very predatory of Henry Mayo to run up a bill like that and not help. We knew exactly what the issue was. A dead baby in my womb that hadn't passed my body after dying 5 weeks prior! Henry Mayo advised I go to womens clinic. AKA abortion center to have the issue handled. Absolutely no compassion for a mother during a time of loss in second trimester. And unbelievable bill when no help was offered, and the next hospital had to rerun all their own labs. If they had no intention to help, they should have turned me away prior to doing more diagnostics, that confirmed what was already known and documented.

I know this hospital often gets mixed reviews, but I've personally had great experiences here. Since moving from Kern County, I've been to the ER three different times, and each time the service has been efficient and professional. The staff are always welcoming and friendly, and the hospital itself is very well maintained. Most importantly, my concerns were taken seriously and properly addressed.
