Providence Little Company of Mary Medical Center - Torrance

Starting from ER: Wait time on a Monday evening for me was about 3 1/2 hours (including getting seen in a room for why I'm there and getting an IV Pick in my arm) before going to the back. You will be greeted by a woman for your copay if you're able to pay right then and there fine, but if not they'll just bill you. I was placed in the hallway which was fine. The ER Dr. had a bunch of test ran, x-ray and CT scan. After about 40mins, I was placed in a temporary room. Was there for a couple more hours before the doctor came back, he suggested I needed to be admitted. I was transfered to another temp room in ER due to them closing that side. It was soooooo COLD but its a hospital so I get it. Admission stay: I finally had gotten transferred to the overflow on the 2nd floor, at this time it had been about 5am so about 10-12 hours from ER to getting a bed on the Admission floor. I did have to share the space with about 6 other ppl. My bed had a TV (not all did). The nurses were amazing, they cared for me my whole stay which was 3 days. Tried to be gentle as possible giving the antibiotics etc. The food was really good and they come arpund to you and ask what meal you'd like. I was on a restriction I was told. Overall, I'm glad I went my condition could have gotten worst I was informed that it could have gotten really serious. Was treated well, my car was safe and I got rest. I will go back if ever needed which I hope isn't anytime soon.

I was just there today at the outpatient registration department. Joshua R and his team went above and beyond with helping me! I was due for an injection today for tomorrow's surgery but unfortunately my surgeon office dropped the bomb somewhere in there and I was not in their system for the appointment. After 2 hours of waiting, miraculously Joshua R and Andrada was able to push for the order and got me in before the office closed. Without them I don't know what I would had done because my surgery definitely could not be postponed. Thank you Little Company of Mary in Torrance for your wonderful team!

The patient rooms are well kept, the nurses are fine. But the doctors are very slow or not available, which holds up the essential treatment needed by patients. I will no longer refer patients there.

All the negative ER reviews ARE CORRECT. I'm not one to write reviews but I just felt like I needed to for this hospital. Do not come here unless it's the last resort. You will ignored, the staff will administer tests that aren't relevant, the nursing staff are extremely unprofessional, rude, and indifferent. They all seem like kids in high school looking for a good patient to laugh at and gossip. I hope the owners of the hospital really read these reviews because Little company of Mary is building up a VERY bad reputation.

You can tell this is more than just a hospital--it's a place where healing is approached with heart. The facility is spotless, calm, and well-organized, which gave us peace of mind from day one. It's rare to find a place that blends such high-level medical care with this kind of humanity. We'll always be grateful for the way they treated our loved one--and us--with such dignity and compassion. Five stars isn't enough.
