Dr Dunnington is a great surgeon and has an excellent interaction with his patients. His nurse Maria is also delightfully friendly. As an inpatient at St Helena hospital, the food is delicious. I'm very happy with my experiences at Adventist Health.
My good friend Dave Renner was treated for AFIB at Adventist Health, St Helena. He recommended I seek an appointment with Dr. Susan Eisenberg and I did. Dr. Eisenberg was engaging, positive, offered four potential modalities of treatment for my AFIB and was prompt in setting up an appointment for my procedure! I had an extremely positive experience!
Consultation put me at ease. My procedure goes up my groin to the top of my heart. Cameras and tools inside. My concerns are pretty much gone now thanks to the Doctor explaining the procedure. He's very knowledgeable. 2 or 3 days in the hospital and I should be fine.
My experience was pleasant; however this was a a video consultation and Dr Dunnington was 35 minutes late joining the call. I thought someone from the office could have called me to advise that the doctor was running late and to let me know when he might be available. I called in asking what was going on. The doctor did apologize for being late
I had my aortic arch replaced at AHI in 2021. Following surgery, I was having problems with my left arm. The surgeon said it was due to a pre existing condition. There was almost no follow-up and I was ignored for years. This past march I had corrective surgery at UCSD. The new surgeon wrote In a report that my left subclavian artery had been " deliberately" blocked. Actually, the Adventist surgeon had simply forgotten to reattach my left subclavian artery to my aortic arch. My surgery was way over the top too much for AHI. I'm planning on contacting an attorney as soon as I have recovered enough.
