Dr. Ginkel is an extremely patient, thorough Cardiologist. Easy to understand and truthful.

The care my aunt received con Dr Ginkel was appalling. Within 2 weeks of being checked into the Mayo Clinic they straightened out her medications and her quality of life increased to a point where she was able to leave her bed and join the family for meals and visits. I would not recommend Dr Ginkel.

After this review I continued to deteriorating with Aortic valve disease left untreated since 2017 why?? I'm not worthy of life apparently. Dignity Health has stepped in and Dr Ginkel to do stress test, Whaaattt after years!! I am 41 if an 81 year old female can receive valve repair procedure I should too!! I will travel if I have to my insurance covers it.(Updated August 1 2022) At 39 my only prognosis was as he put it "Death" And they billed very high and I received the lowest form of care. Big mistake trusting this guy with my health all he is after is money$$$ The only test echocardiogram that their only sonographer did was more a electrocardiogram because I was billed for a electrocardiogram even though records show it was echocardiogram. They expect patients not to know the difference and become very defensive if you question the "treatment "

As far as medical offices go, Dr. Ginkel's is a standout. Excellent front desk staff - something you don't often find. From a medical perspective, I have enormous confidence in Dr. Ginkel. He is patient (no pun) and considerate.

Dr Ginkel recently reviewed the results for tests that the Veterans Administration had scheduled for me as a part of my disability claim. Apparently he is not on contract with the VA to do so......so rather than work out some form of compromise with them.....they send me the bill. When I tell them the VA is supposed to pay....not me.....they send me to collections! Terrible way to do bussiness and treat veterans!
