Sutter Urgent Care

The team at the main Sutter/PAMF clinic in Santa Cruz was stellar when I visited them recently while very sick. Even though there were 8 people ahead of me, they processed us all quickly. I had 4 different staff do different kinds of tests and treatments and each one was professional, incredibly kind, and knowledgeable. Felt very well taken care of and left knowing what was wrong and having been given a helpful treatment. As I lay there for a few hours I could hear the conversations in the hallway. It was clear that this is a team of people who like working together, communicate well, and are serious about their jobs. 10/10.

Best urgent care center in Santa Cruz. Extremely kind and sweet people that work there. Dr.Katherine Putz, specifically was very kind, patient, empathetic, thorough, and thoughtful. She also listened to me which was refreshing for a healthcare experience. Nurse Jennifer was incredibly kind and made me as comfortable as possible while respecting my distaste for needles. She found a gown for me to rest my arm comfortably, she offered me ice, blankets, among other thoughtful and supportive offers. Jennifer also is very gentle snd skilled in providing iv's. (She was so kind to bring me warm towels when she noticed I was a bit cold. She was so kind and understanding I felt totally safe and comfortable with the entire team of providers I was working with, for the first time in a long time(probably years). The Radiology department at this location is also very kind and friendly providers. You could tell that everyone working last night truly is passionate about their job and all took their oath seriously. These are the providers we need more of. I felt so lucky and blessed to have such an amazing team helping me through last night. Hearts yall are amazing

Thank goodness for Urgent Care. I've had to use urgent care many times because it's impossible to schedule an appointment with my PCP any sooner than 3-6 weeks in the future. PAs can be hit-and miss (one sent me home without a chest X-Ray, assuming I had a virus, when I had pneumonia), but every MD I've seen there has been outstanding. The main downside to UC is that unless you arrive when they open, the wait to see a practitioner can be long.

Dr Brady at the SC Main clinic is great. 2 years ago she set my broken wrist, and this week helped me with 2 minor issues. In a previous year, they treated my wife's broken bones very well and promptly. The staff were also excellent. the downside was their so-called reservation system. Main clinic doesn't offer it, so I made a reservation at Westside for 11am. When I arrived, I was informed that they couldn't see me until 3, and that the on-line system actually didn't know the reality at their clinic. Useless. Hence 4, not 5, stars.

Fast, friendly, and effective. There was 4-5 people ahead of me but I was still in and out w/in an hour. The Dr was very nice, took his time and even called me later in the day with test results.
